It is great you are considering privacy by default, this is the way!

For future backups you can still use other nodes to rent the space (this is the ideal because you will support third party BTFS nodes out there ) but you can either keep a local copy using the “btfs get” command and keeping your node 24/7 running OR you can specify a higher number of copies so the database is distributed to more nodes and increase data persistence rate.

Yes @SimbadMarino we have been exploring all these possible options and will be drilling down into the pros/cons of each of the ways you suggested. As soon as we decide, we will be putting up a update with the implementation soon :muscle:
