Hello, the airdrops are secured using the merkle data structure so only the leaf or children of the root can claim the given tokens, they can only claim what they are designated to receive, because leaf is constructed using the address and the amount. so this is how it secures the airdrop. And users just need to visit the live site to check their token available to claim.
Great project, Adrian!
How do you plan to ensure the security and privacy of user addresses when creating and managing airdrop campaigns, especially since the process involves uploading JSON files?
DropZone looks like an innovative platform for simplifying airdrop campaigns and improving the user experience with decentralized notifications.
But, I’m also curious—are any specific encryption methods or security protocols in place to safeguard the uploaded data and ensure it’s not exposed during the airdrop process? I would love to know how the platform addresses these concerns.
I appreciate your concern regarding transaction fees. To address this, we’ve made our smart contracts highly efficient, ensuring they consume fewer gas units.
Additionally, we’ve implemented a batchClaimTokens() function. This allows one person to submit proofs and claim for multiple users, with the gas fees being paid by that single individual. This way, gas fees can be sponsored or shared, making it more efficient for users.
Great question! DropZone secures airdrop data using a Merkle tree structure. Once the Merkle root is set, it’s immutable, and only the airdrop owner can control it. For each user, we generate a Merkle leaf using a keccak hash of their address and amount, which is then verified on-chain. This ensures that only the rightful recipient can claim their tokens, with the network itself validating the process, keeping everything secure and tamper-proof.
Hello @kishan1729
Thanks for the compliment! We ensure the security and privacy of user addresses during airdrop campaigns by using JWT tokens. These tokens allow us to authenticate users securely and manage access to sensitive information. This means only authorized personnel can handle user data, ensuring that addresses remain protected throughout the process. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!
Thanks for noticing! @manfred_jr
I appreciate the support! Staying focused and making progress is always worth it.
Hope you’re having a great weekend too!
Thank you for the kind words! We’re excited to offer a one-stop platform where users can easily claim all their airdrops. It’s designed to be user-friendly for campaign creators as well. As we continue to develop DropZone, we look forward to adding even more features. It’s going to be huge—hold tight!
Hey, @SaanviSeek
After October, our immediate plan is to launch on the mainnet, which is an exciting milestone for us. While we have plenty of features in mind, including support for various token types and a rewards points system, our focus will initially be on ensuring a smooth transition to mainnet. Once that’s achieved, we’ll roll out many new features to enhance user experience. Stay tuned for more updates!
DropZone seems like a really interesting concept with a lot of potential in the DeFi space. The idea of having a one-stop decentralized platform for airdrop campaigns is something the community could definitely benefit from, especially with the decentralized notifications feature. It’s great that users can claim multiple airdrops from one place and that the security aspect is enhanced through on-chain transactions.
However, one area that might need improvement is the overall user experience when creating and managing campaigns. It would also be helpful if the platform offered more educational resources to guide first-time users through the process.
Overall, DropZone offers great value but could still benefit from a more streamlined UX and perhaps some additional features to further simplify things for new users. Keep up the good work and look forward to future updates!
Great! I think this method was also used for nft whitelisting during the NFT craze in 2022. Project owners set up whitelisted addresses in json format like you guys doing, and users could claim them when whitelisting was open.
Hey, @block
Glad you liked the project
Yeah it does have great potential in defi space especially when defi protocols offers rewards and points to their platform in order to increase liquidity.
So it could be a very useful tool for those protocols as well.
Talking about the user experience. We do and always try to make the UX better. Thought its very much easy, simple and self explanatory but hey there’s always a chance for improvement so yeah. Thank you for the suggestion and comment.
Hope you liked the project.
Please give a try to the project, and keep me posted if there’s anything concerning in the project that needs to be updated.
Thank you
