Electronic voting system using blockchain

I read an article centred on serious gentrification ongoing in Accra and how the capitalist government are turning a blind eye and forcing the hands of home owners to sell off properties to British nationals.
Also the story of a small business owner whose rent skyrocketed from $110 to $800 without prior knowledge from her landlord post-pandemic, phew!

mmmm this is new to me, I will find out

oh oh oh, thanks for sharing bro.

It’s possible, the government see them as investors and frankly speaking some are really helping. The average Ghanaian with a house for rent will also increase the price hmmmm…

I always say everyone thinks about his or her interest. From the president to the last citizen

The government has a major role to play in the development of the citizens.

true to some people. That mentality is not helping.

ei at this time you still wait for the government? The ones we have in Africa hahahaha

All these are theory, get to the grounds. They will use that funds to sponsor their wards education

bro true ooh, we pray the financial strenght to start this kind of business

@Gordian the government knws what to do but they will not so i have stopped expecting something from them. I do my best and leave the rest

Lols, I realized This fees semester before I graduated .
The government fighting for themselves and pocket.
So no need to hope on them unnecessary

What would you do with your first major crypto profits?
Like investment plans to boost your investment portfolios.

if it is possible to start a real estate business, I will

or start farming especially animal rearing

hahahaha killers everywhere

I’ve a farm but if you think I’m rich I’ll tell you first hand it’s just an imaginary farm.
Moving forward, that’s a good investment, alot of people are sleeping on farming (crop and livestock production) as a portfolio builder.
Asides farming, I also wanna own a studio to give out sessions for free to selected acts in my city, would cost approximately $75k to have one set-up but I prefer building from the ground under so $15k is a good start.

hahahaha, I see

sure sure

this will really help crypto awareness, I hope some team sees this and make this dream a reality. A crypto project can sponsor this

If the blockchain does require some sort of KYC to vote, that doesnt make it anonymous since the address would be linked with the account and so.

Also even in developed nations its extremely, extremly difficult for something like this to get adapted at national level since many wont like the whole previous tech to get disrupted as such, you also know what type of people are sitting there.
The best we can get for the longer term right now is that the small votings, for orgs, at schools or educational institutions where the voters are new age and understand the littile complexity of this.

A very well idea but hard for larger purposes at least for the current years. At small scale it might get scaled up in usage leisurely with time.

I have followed the chat and all i can say is its a very laudable idea.
Change is good but at the same time change is very difficult.
We have the notion that if it aint broken then we shouldn’t fix it.

Implementing blockchain voting is feasible but not in Africa here and Ghana to be precise, maybe in the next 100 years.

Lols, thanks for saying the hard truth.

@Nana66419

The blockchain voting system is very feasible here in Africa,it only depends on our mindset and mentality.
And talking about the Blockchain voting system taking 100yrs for it to be implemented in Ghana I think it won’t take such a number of years if the government of Ghana can address some challenges of the country which are

(1) Lack of infrastructure: Ghana as a country does not have the same level of internet and telecommunications infrastructure as developed countries, it could also make it difficult to implement a blockchain voting system that is accessible to all citizens.

(2) Low levels of literacy: Ghana has a relatively high illiteracy rate, which could make it difficult for some citizens to understand how to use a blockchain voting system.

(3) Security concerns: There are concerns about the security of blockchain voting systems, and whether they could be vulnerable to hacking or fraud.
