I don’t know but they said that web3 is not for applications that are not centered around NFTs, Finance or gaming.
Oh ok, no worries. If something is wrong or I did mistake then I will change stuff accordingly with admin permission. Thank you for the concern.
Respected @admin.hackathon , can I switch category to artistfy ? or can you help me in this problem to move this project to set category. Thank you.
Yes you can change the category to artistry. That would be the right category for a GameFi, NFT project.
Thanks @HODL . Done from my side. Thanks @Jacks.Bryant1
After my read, I see your main focus is on creating a decentralized and transparent betting experience using smart contracts and BTTC tokens and the goal is to engage players globally and promote blockchain adoption, fair betting, and community engagement. Brings me to my question;
Are there plans to integrate any anti-cheating measures within the game mechanics?
Excited to test this project. seems interesting game. all the best
Currently at runtime horse winners are generated another thing is before start of race betting will be closed so we can prevent cheating. So currently possible steps are taken care but in future surely will improve in all possible way.
Thank you really so much. you should give a try
Thanks for replying, it’s great to hear that measures are in place to ensure fairness, such as generating horse winners at runtime and closing betting before the race starts to prevent cheating.
Are you open to suggestions? If yes, I’ve two;
Consider implementing an audit trail for the generated horse winners to enhance transparency and allow players to verify the outcomes.
Integrating an authentication mechanism to ensure the credibility of players participating in the game could be beneficial.
Moving forward, I’ve a question with regards to your reply;
Could you elaborate on how the runtime generation of horse winners works? Are there specific algorithms or processes involved?
Sure.
So currently player can verify last winner on blockchain but yes in upcoming update will add this. and yes authentication idea is great. will check how I can implement in game.
now regarding horse winner so based on blockchain current time which is always unique combining it with some random number and creating algorithm which can generate unguessed horse winner. Even for me it will be unknown until race gets over. so yes for now with my capability I have added this mechanism but in future surely will improve it.
Reading through I can only but think about issues with game fixing, game fixing, game fixing, feels like it’ll be prevalent in this scenario but that’s by the way!
And, as a football bettor myself, would there be a model/feature where you can take profits and close sessions if your impatient about the final outcome of the game?
Monetization is another thing, but that’ll be discussed later, thank you!
Greetings @amazing.vive ! Your project seems to have all the details. Thank you! *beep boop
Thanks for I will take your all suggestions and feedback for my next update.
and game live betting game is live. you should try once you get chance. its not testnet so it will be fun to try without loosing anything
Uh oh, I’m trying to curb my betting addiction, thanks all the same for the advice, betting always has me like this
hahahah damn true. thank you
You know that there is no such thing as a random number on the blockchain. How are you going to generate the randomness?
Hi @Sirluke , for randomness on blockchain chainlink vrf is providing solution for randomness and another logic which I shared that with current last blockchain block no which is always unique, combining it with hash and some random technique always return unique no which can not be guessed by anyone. Hope this will help to understand your query.
Real bet is live you should give a try with testnet account. it will be fun.
Thanks
Chainlink VRF is ok, since it’s based from off-chain data.
The last block no is unique, but easily predictable, so not a source of randomness at all. Hashing does not add randomness and “some random technique” are just meaningless words.
So, in the end, my question is: are you using chainlink or not?
I’m not sure about your technical background but yes we can surely create random algorithm technique which I have developed and yes surely it can be improved but saying that “random technique” are meaningless does not make any sense. Let me know if you are able to break current technique and guess the result. I’ll be happy to know and improve current algorithm.
And another thing that this is on testnet so surely I would like to improve this from feedback and mistakes.
Thank you
This looks awesome, you guy’s are taking it to next level
