How SR rewards change by rank — Part 5

An educational breakdown of how TRON SR rewards change with rank and votes.

Quick background: the 3 SR stages on TRON

Before the numbers, here’s how TRON SR status works in simple terms:

1) SR Candidate rank #128 - 432 (>127)
• Voters still earn their own TRON protocol rewards,
no SR-level payouts, because SR Candidates do not receive regular SR rewards from the network.

2) SR Partner rank # 28 - 127 (Top 127)
• voters now participate in the SR reward system, (receiving 90% of the distribution.)
• Voter receive same TRON protocol rewards
• These rewards are what SRs can share with voters

3) Full SR rank # 1 - 27 (Top 27)
• Voted SR now produce blocks directly
• Voter receive higher protocol rewards
• Usually much higher visibility and voting power

I’m using my own node (AstroTron) only as a real example — not a recommendation to vote.

Right now we’re SR Partner Rank #105 with approx. 47,000 votes, so here’s what rewards roughly look like at different levels.

What daily rewards tend to look like

(numbers are realistic ranges, not guarantees)

At #105 (~47,000 votes today)

  • Protocol SR reward: ~0.8 TRX / day

  • Voters’ pool (90%): ~0.72 TRX total per day

  • :backhand_index_pointing_right: Basically dust for individual voters.

At #100 (~63,000 votes)

  • Protocol SR reward: ~30–80 TRX / day

  • Voters’ pool (90%): ~27–72 TRX / day total

  • :backhand_index_pointing_right: Now payouts become visible instead of dust.

At #90 (~100,000 votes)

  • Protocol SR reward: ~150–300 TRX / day

  • Voters’ pool (90%): ~135–270 TRX / day total

  • :backhand_index_pointing_right: This is where rewards start to feel clearly meaningful.

How the split works (simple math)

When TRON pays rewards:

  1. TRON sends 100% to the SR wallet

  2. SR keeps 10%

  3. SR sends 90% back to voters

  4. Each voter is paid pro-rata by vote weight

Example (mid case at #99 = 55 TRX/day):

  • Voters’ pool = 49.5 TRX (90% of 55 TRX)

  • A voter with 15% of total votes gets 15% of 49.5 TRX ≈ 7.43 TRX/day base on pro-rata by vote weight

Key takeaway for beginners

Your rewards mainly depend on two things:

:white_check_mark: SR Rank
:white_check_mark: Total votes on that SR

Higher rank + more votes = higher protocol rewards.

Lower rank = dust, even with the same 90% share.

Note: These figures refer only to SR-level rewards shared to voters.

They do not include each voter’s own protocol rewards, which they can claim separately on Tronscan.
