By the looks of this the project is just a token launch ?
Why did you choose to launch a token as a hackathon project ?
Can anyone create a token launch on the launchpad or is it only reserved for this specific token?
In case you guys win any money in the hackathon how will it be used ?
The hackathon project is the token launch using a novel type of fair launch, with a luck component. But it does not finish here, after launch the luck dispenser will keep the users engaged, with incentives to distribute WML to as many users possible.
The hackathon prize money, in case of winning, will be used for development/marketing and for the user incentives for distribution. Basically the user triggering the distribution contract will be rewarded for doing it.
I first thought this was a launchpad platform where everyone could launch a token . This we have not seen yet on tron or btt . Would you consider developing it that far ?
Token launches could either pay with your token to activate their launch or distribute some percentage to holders of your token.
I agree with you that a launchpad (Pinksale style) is needed on Tron and BTTC. Weāll evaluate the possibility of launching our own platform or cooperating with other projects to deliver a better value to the users. Thanks for the suggestion.
Thanks for the question. The answer is no, the BTT committed will be uaed to seed initial liquidity in the DEX pools and for incentives. In exchange for the committed amount the users gets a share if the initial token allocation of a value similar to the commited BTT. I say similar because luck could offset the value and change the amount of tokens received.
We want users to trigger the Luck Dispenser app (that will be soon online). To do that weāll provide incentives in the smart contract so that the user is rewarded with WML tokens. On top of that there are 3 jackpots (bronze, silver and gold) that will increase the attractiveness of the app. It will be fun!
Thank you for sharing. I am reviewing this project based on the project post, the provided presentation, the project website and the smart contracts.
This is a lottery game driven by a āluckā multiplier rather than a typical jackpot style payout. And this is designed to support a USTX token, aspiring to be the first billion dollar TRON token. It is a little similar to the āluckā games in PancakeSwap.
The luck mechanism is based directly on the randomness of the block time, which is a predictable number. This quantity is also gameable by the miners, in a process called MEV which, today, is more of a concern on Ethereum than TRON. Also the lottery is set up so that the admin (which is an individual account, not a smart contract) takes all āinvestedā tokens, it can also take all forgotten tokens.
This project, as is, will not make USTX into a billion dollar token. But it can help raise awareness. Keep up the spirits and thank you for building on TRON.
I just want to clarify that the luck factor in WML is not in the hands of the contract owner and does not depend on block time. An oracle (Band) provides the randomness seed used for all contract interactions. Also the winning event is not managed by the admin that ādrawsā the winner, but can happen automatically every time a user triggers the distribution contract.
A quick update on the status of the development. We have deployed the Luck Dispenser smart contracts to testnet and we are now testing them. The UI will be released shortly. So far so good, getting ready to move to mainnet and launch in November as expected.
