hello @ArtQuest

I am seeing a lot of project these days just are just taking up project that are open sourced and revamp their ui or texts to win hackathons. Your game that you say is your in-house game can be found at Noodle Quest
I played this game a long back. Everything in your game is same except that you added a claim button.

This is seriously very disheartening to see, projects building on wrong foundations.
This is not just a mistake of the developers, but I feel the entire tron dao forum community should be attentive enough to look into these kind of scams and report.

@admin.hackathon @SimbadMarino @Youngyuppie @manfred_jr @Nweke-nature1.com @maaz @fabsltsa Inviting all the experienced folks of the forum to have a look at this.

While I align with the fact that there should be some on-chain rewarding experience for the users in-game. I am unable to understand what value do you provide to the actual game ecosystem? How can a game creator submit his game on your platform? or can they integrate you sdk?? I dont think without proper sdk, this is useful at all. We see a lot of projects coming and adding claim nft buttons in games every hackathon, but its not about building on-chain, its about enhancing the user experience of the users while putting data on-chain as well. Otherwise there will be only applications, and NO USERS!!

Hello @richyrich,

Thanks for your input. I’d like to clarify a few points to address your concerns and provide more context for how ArtQuest operates:

  • Partnership with Game Platforms: Before incorporating Noodle Quest, we reached out to the original developer to seek permission, and they were fully supportive of our plans. Our intention with integrating Noodle Quest is to demonstrate how ArtQuest can partner with existing games to provide users with quests, rewards, and on-chain features such as NFTs, without compromising the original gameplay. This partnership approach is part of our larger vision, where game developers can easily integrate their creations into ArtQuest, leveraging blockchain features seamlessly. The Noodle Quest game serves as a proof of concept for this integration, showing how game developers can work with us to engage users in meaningful ways.

  • Redefining Gaming on Blockchain: We’re not here to reinvent the wheel but to enhance existing games by adding blockchain features such as XP, quests, and rewards. ArtQuest is focused more on quests and rewards than just the game itself, and we plan to onboard more game companies into our ecosystem. This mutually beneficial relationship allows players to earn XP while game developers gain user engagement, which is an additional form of monetization for them. Similar models are used by companies like Fortnite, which collaborates with other franchises for in-game content, and Ubisoft, which integrates blockchain features into its games.

  • Focusing on Future Growth: Regarding your concerns about the SDK, we understand its importance, and it’s part of our future roadmap. Given the limited time we had to build for the hackathon, we focused on delivering a working proof of concept. SDKs and deeper integrations are definitely in our plans to allow game developers to fully leverage ArtQuest. We’re committed to expanding these tools and continuing to innovate within this space.

I hope this clarifies things. We’re always open to feedback and further questions. Thanks again for engaging with us!

We will consider measuring success through metrics like user activity, quest participation, XP earned, and community interactions in future releases. What metrics would you suggest?

How will ArtQuest reward users? How will you check content quality? How does the NFT marketplace work?

  • Rewards: ArtQuest will reward users with tokens and NFTs for completing quests and contributing to the community.
  • Content Quality: Content quality will be monitored using automated checks and community reviews.
  • NFT Marketplace: Users can trade earned NFTs in the marketplace, representing in-game assets or digital collectibles.

What do you think of these features, and how would you envision using them?

Most gamers love badges and achievement icons especially streaming gamers just to showcase to fans around the world for their achievements and also set ranks just to satisfy ego, haha.
