dCloud - A web3 Cross Platform Cloud Storage App

Hello  there

Personally I am very happy and fortunate to see that one of the largest file storage spaces in the internet is part of bittorrent and tron eco

Even more happy to see that @cctechmx is leading the innovation around BTFS and I strongly believe this project is really promising and this project has a huge potential to attract masses to bttc/tron

I wish all the very best to the team :rocket::rocket::rocket:

Greetings cctechmx! Your project seems to be missing details on the following. Please add them to your project. Thank you!

Please Include:
Project Info
Contract Address

After a thorough scan, it looks like your project post is very similar to a project that has been posted in Season 1. Can you let the community know what improvements and updates have been made compared to this project - dCloud: A Web3 Cloud Storage Mobile app that you have submitted in the past?

@tronbot Thanks, missing info added! Please note dCloud is using BTFS network as it is , meaning we do not created any additional smart contract .

Indeed dCloud is an extension of the already existent cloud app which participated for S1, we are planning to release the extended functionalities by Nov 14th as follows:

  1. Renter user Experience (GUI) → Already included in version 1.5.3
  2. Android version simplicity improved → Already done in version 1.5.3
  3. Google Play Introduction → In progress
  4. macOS and Windows release → In progress

why btfs over ipfs???

With BTFS you have paid nodes and better degree of data persistance guarantee. IPFS is mostly run by good will nodes and sometimes files might be unavailable.

Hello community! we are glad to announce macOS version is going well and basic testing was concluded. Release v1.5.4 on the way!!

Even tough we have some good news with macOS we are sad to say we are not having a great progress specially on Google Play  . We are facing major hurdles to implement what we thought is gonna workaround the current issue.

We’ll keep everyone updated!

Excited to give this a try, what is the desktop client being built on?

We use react native for the UI, as official support for windows has started just receently we are facing some troubles implementing on windows , works great for iOS, Android and mac so far

Great to see DCloud back in the hackathon, we believe there is so much untapped potential for cloud storage.

A couple commits from the btfs shared lib:

  • Adding windows cross-compile make command (to create windows library)
  • Improve start up of btfs for iOS(Mac and iPhone)

Hello everyone!

macOS demo is now available

Not specifically related to this hackathon but wanted to post this video tutorial for uploading files to BTFS. (Spanish) BTFS Windows - YouTube

So much work put into this project… I duff my cap haha

This is fantastic! BTFS is very powerful yet extremely under-utilized! You’ve got my vote and I will try this out! :white_check_mark:
