Wow, this is awesome fr
Hi @FamilyP
Let us try out best to answer your questions.
-If my project, for some reason, was ineligible, why did they let it be posted (I need prior authorization)?
Any reasonable account requested to be added to the Hackathon group will be approved for visibility to be shown on the forum. i.e Hackathon posts that is not obvious spam or scam.
-It’s been a long time since the registration until now… if something happened why didn’t you notify me before?
TronLive team help manage the community and increase community engagement, we are not responsible for notifying hackathon participants about their projects. However, we did help you reach out to the hackathon team and they can confirm they did reached out to you multiple times via DevPost confirming your ineligibility before the judging period.
-Am I not eligible to receive the award? Am I useful only when I invest (spend) my money in the project?
You are not eligible because you have not followed the Hackathon rules stated on https://tron.devpost.com/rules. The rules were there before the hackathon started so it has nothing with the money you may or may not put in on a project.
-What is the fate of a cryptocurrency that centralizes instead of decentralizing? (if you ask yourself that question, before investing time and money)?
This question isn’t relevant to the hackathon but we can let you know that TRON’s core mission is to decentralize the internet.
-A forum apparently with rules and promoting a democracy, is it?
(The manager hasn’t answered any questions so far on the forum, the decision he makes is sovereign, we couldn’t talk to him).
An answer has already been given to you on DevPost. Please note that the rules for eligibility, such as exclusion to certain countries are one of the default eligibility rules set by DevPost. So although we, along with DevPost would love to allow participants from all countries and regions to participate in hackathons, but due to local laws, Foreign Asset Control, and other legal restrictions, we need to restrict global hackathons to protect hackathon sponsors from legal risk.
We understand it can be sad not to be able to participate in this great Hackathon but we hope that we have answered your doubts clearly. There are still platforms that allow you to participate so make sure to look around and keep the spirit up! Stay sTRONg!
game world, cukies.world lo mejor
Lets go Tronbies!! They deserve it!
We have all come here by putting forth our efforts and knowledge. It is really exciting to examine all the projects one by one. Some ideas look really cool. Good luck to everyone in this process, I hope it turns out the way you want.
Let’s Go
Cukies World!!!
Hi @TronLive !
I participated in several tournaments this year. I lost and won… between gifts, prizes or just participation, I always win with the exchange of knowledge between people (different parts of the world).
All of these had very similar rules. Nobody excluded me from just participating!
I signed up early on… a person named Taylor sent me an email saying they had to make some changes to TRON/BTTC. I did, I spent my money to participate (even though I’m having financial difficulties at the moment). I replied to her email saying I had made the move and graduated if there was anything else wrong, and I thanked her for her concern.
On 07/29 (registration closed on 07/25),
the same person sends me an email saying my project was ineligible. This is my sadness. Why is my money useful when it comes to spending (sponsor/anything)… when awarding it doesn’t work!
Ask yourself this question:
Is tron for everyone?
Is it decentralized?
Everyone is voting for their favourite, so just browse through the projects, review them and pick yours. You can vote for 5 in each track. There’s a nice spread in every category so far as all of the projects are interesting in some way.
@FamilyP You must understand that every platform or contest has its own rules. You cannot apply one set of rules to the other.
Moreover, hackathon participants are supposed to read and agreed to the rules before participating. As you can see on https://help.devpost.com/hc/en-us/articles/360058308652-What-are-the-standard-exceptions-for-global-eligibility- that your country was on the DevPost exclusion list. TRON also made the extra effort to reiterate the exclusion rules again on TRON Grand Hackathon 2022: Accelerate the Future - Devpost
TRON is decentralized and open for everyone, however, TRON also need to abide to platform rules since we are hosting with the DevPost platform.
Do also note that with the amount of participants TRON get, it will take time for the admins to check and reach out to all participants but they did it on time before judging starts.
Anyway, as you have mentioned, you always get something out of each contest as you won the exchange of knowledge between people. Therefore, we hope you gained the knowledge to read and abide to rules before you participating in future contest as this can really be beneficial to you.
You have good imagination power and creativity so don’t let it go waste and find a contest that you can participate in. Good luck!
There are many projects here worth looking at, but for me personally the three that stand out above the crowd are primo, tronweeklyjournal and justmoney pay, these teams are trying to move crypto into the real world and in very different and unique ways, love it, keep on keeping on guys
Sorry friend @TronLive , against the facts there are no arguments … still with the same opinion … good luck to you , Taylor and the tron !
