This experiment has been successful for sure. It has holder like me to do some trading. Ngl it is fun and overwhelming. But after making some profits and lil losses I think I started it because it costs 0 network fees to trade on sunpump. Have not been able to do my usual tronsactions because of it. I think maybe TRON team can create a platform where members can trade already existing tokens with almost no network fees? One other point I would like to make is to show token values on tronlink and tronscan of all the existing projects who have been building on TRON and are listed on sunswap and jmswap. This will introduce also introduce new members to the og TRON projects.

PS: Ask cexs to unstake TRX for energy !

Launching Your First TRON Memetoken on SunPump

Alright, LFG Army, let’s dive into how easy it is to launch a token on SunPump! If you’re in a rush, you can technically get it done in under a minute :stopwatch:. But for those aiming to take their project to the sun, it’s worth planning out every detail.

Why SunPump?
SunPump.meme makes launching a memetoken a breeze. It’s technically a TRC20 token, so you can even launch non-meme tokens like utility tokens. Sure, you can create tokens on TRONSCAN, but we recommend SunPump because it’s currently subsidizing energy costs. That means lower transaction fees later on, which your community will appreciate when trading your token. Who doesn’t love saving some TRX?

When we launched $LFG on August 21, SunPump had a sweet platform incentive—launching a token only cost 20 TRX (around $3 at $0.15/TRX). As of this writing, it’s still 20 TRX. So, why not try it out if you are interested in launching your own memetoken?

Getting Started
New to TRON? No worries! You can grab some TRX from most major Centralized Exchanges (CEX) and withdraw it to TronLink, a self-custodial wallet. We recommend using the TronLink Chrome extension for the best experience.

Once your wallet is set up and connected to SunPump, click on “Launch” in the top menu to get started.

Let’s Make It Pop!
You only need a few key details to launch your token—token image, name, and ticker—but we’re here to build something epic, so let’s do it right.

  • Image: You can use JPEG, PNG, WEBP, or even an animated GIF. We used a GIF to stand out! Just keep it under 4MB. The platform will resize and crop it to fit the 283 x 240 px preview on SunPump. Pro Tip: Design your image in multiples of this ratio. (Heads up: On the token detail page, the image will be further cropped to 200 x 260 px. GIFs won’t show up on TRONSCAN, but we’ll figure out how to solve this later on)
  • Token Name: Make it cool, like “Gold Funky Llama.” You’ve got 20 characters to work with—make them count!
  • Token Symbol: Also known as the ticker, it’s limited to 10 characters. No need to add an extra ‘$’—SunPump does that automatically. Ours is LFG. Pick something memorable and connected to your token name. Remember, symbols and names aren’t unique, so don’t stress about squatting on good ones.
  • Token Description: Let your imagination run wild! You’re limited to 256 characters, but note that around 160 characters will be visible on the token listing preview. The full description will show up on your token’s detail page.

Optional Fields—But Worth It!
These fields are optional, but you can’t edit them after launch unless you go through customer service. So, it’s best to have them ready:

  • Website: Most degens want to see some humor on your site before supporting your project. Be fun, be funky, be gold—wait, that’s us. You get the idea.
  • Telegram: Set up a channel for your supporters to chat and share plans. Remember, Telegram uses the same alias for group names and usernames, so plan accordingly. We left ours unattended at first, focusing on gathering loyal supporters through the TRON DAO Forum. Tip: Recommended profile/group image size is 512 x 512px.
  • Twitter: You should set up X. Be creative and talk memes. Post funny content to attract meme lovers. Pro Tip: Profile picture size is 400 x 400 px, and header image size is 1500 x 500 px.
  • Initial Buy: This is your first token purchase after launch. We went with 1,618 TRX, inspired by the Golden Ratio—about 4.68% of our total supply of 1 billion tokens. If you choose a low amount, you might not have enough tokens to play with later. If it’s too high, your community might worry about a potential dump. We recommend no more than 10%. Make sure you have enough TRX to cover this when you launch.

For reference, here’s what it cost us:

  • Smart Contract Fee: 1,638 TRX (1,618 TRX for the initial buy and 20 TRX SunPump platform fee)
  • Blockchain Fee: 82.8 TRX for the energy cost (this varies based on platform subsidies). You’ll see an estimated fee on TronLink when you sign the transaction. Tip: Have at least 10% more than the estimated fee in your wallet.

After Launch
Once you’ve launched, you’ll receive your unique token contract address. Be sure to share this with your community—don’t just rely on them searching for your token name or symbol. As your token gains popularity, imitations will likely appear. We already have a few copycats (or should we say copyllamas! :llama: :llama:) trying to mimic us. Make sure your community doesn’t fall for scams. A helpful tip is to remember the last five characters of your contract address for easy reference. For example, LFG’s official contract ends with -EjhQF. Your contract address is the key to identifying the genuine token, so make sure to share it widely with your community.

LFG isn’t an “official” memecoin associated with SUN or TRON – there’s no such thing, by the way. So if anyone’s claiming to be the “official” memecoin with TRON’s blessing, even if they’ve got cute TRON bears or bulls with the TRON logo slapped on them, that’s a big ol’ nope.

LFG is all about community – we’re here to build something epic from the ground up. While we have connections in the TRON world, we’re not relying on those ties to make LFG take off. Our pact with TronLive is simple: no handouts, no shortcuts – we’ve got to put in the work, earn the attention, and build a loyal following. This is a grassroots effort to show that anyone, whether a degen or a dreamer, can start their own memetoken journey on TRON and turn it into something huge.
