I enjoyed the hackathon much more. The Tron Builders League sounded good on paper, but it seems like Trondao has given up on it. Maybe they’re low on budget (though that seems unlikely), or perhaps the idea of TBL has been scrapped. To save face, they might just be delaying further announcements and timelines until builders forget about it.
Transparency is always appreciated by the community. So why not let builders and members know what’s going on, what the deadline is, when winners will be announced, or even just make it clear if you no longer want to proceed with TBL?

The TBL submissions have been reviewed thoroughly by our team, and we have recently selected an additional group of projects to move forward into the next phase. We understand your interest in greater transparency, particularly in comparison to the Hackatron initiative. However, due to the unique nature of TBL, we are not yet in a position to disclose further details publicly.
Regarding expectations around announcements or identifying “winners”—unlike a hackathon, TBL is not structured as a contest. Instead, it is a collaborative, long-term engagement model. Rather than declaring winners, we are selecting projects with which we see strong alignment and potential for mutual growth within the ecosystem. This ongoing, partnership-driven approach is also why there are no fixed deadlines or formal conclusion dates for the program.
We hope this helps clarify the differences between Hackatron and TBL, and provides a better understanding of the intentions behind our process.
TBL should be transparent and share those projects that are selected so we can cheer them on and see how we can strive to be like those projects.

The last time I asked the staff to share the 5 preselected teams, in order to learn from them (and cheer them as well, why not), they just ignored my request… it was like 2 months ago btw

I completely agree with you. During Hackatron, there was clear transparency and timelines, and while TBL has a different approach, maintaining that same level of clarity is crucial. Not sure how current approach is helping Tron in any way.
I mean what phase? How many of them are there? What determines whenever a project gets to the next phase?
My concern is that, without transparency rules are changing during the game. Hype anything up without timelines and it only leads to disappointment.
This is reflectedin the negative comments and sentiment under Justin Sun’s recent posts. It affects new initiatives like Sunperp, it affects TRX holders, builders, users, and projects on Tron. I’ve raised my voice many times but its not enough.
There’s not much fun being around here anymore like it was during the Hackatrons.

Reached out to a few TBL projects (privately and undisclosed) - Yes
Asper funding, I’m unsure cos no project has stepped up to say so yet or maybe I may have missed it.
