Patiently waiting for the full reveal, all the best as you continue to build
This is so quite of a useful update, keep building
Going to sleep soon.
Just some updates to share. Aiming to release alpha energy market (and bandwidth) by end of this month. Been delayed a bit , but till sort of on time to release on April as mentioned in our milestone. It is almost as fully capable as any existing market that has been around for longer , but also has some nice features out of the gate when released.
Will see if Iâll implement more features or move on to âProject Reactorâ
[Todayâs code base update]
-Overall restructure of application-level data / efficiency of storing and retrieving data like energy / bandwidth values (e.g energy per trx)
-Added ability to delegate to orders that have existing delegations ( calculation and warning of potential loss)
-Added Light dark mode
-Updated delegated resource reclaim UI and logic
-Added enhanced security measures
Edit:
Note , I had to create specific stuff for testnet / alpha page as I couldnât leverage public api for testnet , still works the same.
I also spoke event for an event last week and this alpha page (test net) is a good playground environment for new comers to learn and trying to get them to use it when launched.
However , Iâm not sure if ill keep it up because the backend logic does not store/sort by mainnet/testnet transactions , it only verifies with the respective chain when told which chain it is for.
[Today]
+4771 lines of code / -1558 lines of code
[6 days ago]
+3641 lines of code / -1518 lines of code
[12 days ago]
+3931/ -197 lines of codes
+1252/-233 lines of codes
+11,441 / -2766 lines of code
Quite a while with no update but this is satisfactory in a way, the part where you tagged âtodayâ had thousands of lines of code done in a day, Iâm wondering how many hours you took to code that much in a single day?
Sorry that [today] tag is slightly misleading , the total is over ±6 days since the last major codebase update. I guess you can just average it out over 6 days . Will be making finishing changes to market system today to try to push release by end of the month ( 2 days left) , lets see how much is done haha.
As you can see been making some overhauls over the past 12 days compared to the previous 12 days where i mostly added code without any much changes/deletions/overwrites which contribute to the ânegativeâ lines of codes
FYI, today i made about 500+ line insertions , 100+ deletions , and im still editing so its not the full number.
Lines of code is a metric that needs a grain of salt , but just wanted to share if anyone was interested.
Iâm coding full time but sometimes I get distracted, thinking of a solution, then doing a bit of defi , reading crypto news , looking/thinking of better UI designs.
A lot of time spent formulating a better solution.
Use of AI
I improve my efficiency by leveraging AI as well , I use like 3 different AI models/platforms , not only for coding but also for ideation / idea validation / proving concepts etc.
AI isnt a catch all , sometimes its totally wrong , sometimes it makes bad assumptions , I still end up coming up with the solution time to time . Most of the time im still fixing errors , only âsimpleâ stuff I can quickly verify and use , mostly formatting or replicating stuff or creative stuff saves time , just need quick edits.
Experience and knowledge/context play a big part in leveraging AI ; itâs the same as when google/wiki came out , you needed to know what to search for.
Donât believe all those posts of people building games and websites with AI in a day , try doing it with a specific design in mind and they wont be able to do it.
P.S This became like a little blog post haha
Blog post about your building TronPower experience.
Good one that regardless the distraction you keep building
And even AI is whining you with wrong output.. you too, you building the ai
Example
Hahah, for beginners could be lies, even for pro it could still take more time?
Well a simple game or same website or bot for your own use, sure , but you really need the background in developing applications for a real use case /production/ real users.
Granted you can use AI and learn along the way , but end of the day you need to learn the reason behind doing things a certain way. As long as you know you NEED to learn the concepts related to whatever you are building , same as how you need to know whether the âfactsâ AI give you are true or false or make sense or dont.
Security / protecting sensitive data is one example of how these things are not factored in unless you specifically ask the AI to do it. Even then , it may not do it right. So you need the experience to know what to ask the AI to do if you want to leverage it , or just fix it yourself.
Lemme ask, with your use of AI, do you just stick to a particularly AI or you run problems across Chatgpt 4o, Gemini, deep seek, etc just to see what can be done a little differently? Just a curious cat
Gm
Chatgpt and Claude
Have been using chatgpt and claude for a bit. Claude allowed bigger contexts ( allowing it to refer to more code for example) because it more context it has , the better the result. But it hits limits faster so i cant continue the conversation longer. Claude models were better at one time too for certain tasks.
v0.dev
Have used v0.dev by vercel to help with ideas for UI designs or help with creating them ( mostly for like nice stuff like gradients and animations ) , but it is unreliable most of the time , so mostly for ideas , then i go back and do it myself or edit most of the output
Gemini
Started using Gemini / google ai studio as its new models supports up to 1 million tokens - several files/pages of code use up like 15k to 30k tokens , which is the max iâve really hit for inputs , but the huge context allowance it has is awesome.
IDE AI extension.
Oh I forgot I also have an AI assistant for my development environment , its called windsurf now , it autosuggest code , very usefully especially when it correctly predicts what i want to type next and when its all repetitive stuff / or when I dont really remember the syntax and it recommends me something and i can quickly edit.
Then I also use like whatsappâs meta ai because its easier to access on my phone, when im moving around or not on my laptop , mostly for validating ideas and battle testing concepts.
Funnily enough , i dont really us whatsapp as much compared to telegram , but ive been using the inbuilt ai feature. There was a perplexity bot on telegram being shared , i tried it a bit , doesnt seem as good though.
So thats like 5+ different platforms/models.
And its all free, I dont pay for them. Hence, why i think building an AI platform to compete is very hard.
- You have to find a niche
- You have to be very agile to ensure you donât get beaten in the next 3 ,6 , 12 months
- Very limited to what you can monetize when all the big competitors have free and powerful products
Great move, do you plan yo reduce the prices of the resources?
We cannot reduce the prices at which sellers want to sell at , but understanding this , Iâve developed 2 solutions.
-
We have a mechanism to encourage selling at lower prices (mostly for long term sells) , this is already implemented ( still will need to improve the UI for it , but you will see it in action , will share more about this when we go live)
-
Second solution is based on loyalty/ rewarding users for sticking with us.
This is already 2 new innovations no other energy market is building , and I expect others to copy , but just know we are the original.
Not sure when the second solution will be built , because Project Reactor is actually our focus and the main innovation coming to TRON.
I just thought of the term " public utility token". Building utility for the âpublicâ , all stakeholders on TRON. That is something that can be born out of Project Reactor.
All Iâll say is : save your TRX for Project Reactor , nothing can match the innovation in terms of
-Utility
-Security / Assurance of assets
-Path to profits
Project Reactor isnt just a one time thing , its the foundation to a whole roadmap , and it is dynamic and will adjust according to the ecosystem.
Nice one and thanks for the explanation
Just wondering, does this serve same or almost same purpose as canva? Given the fact that canva got a new AI design feature that basically text to website generation, defeats the whole idea of learning web development from scratch.
Gm.
Havent tried canvaâs text to website feature , ive tried their other AI feature thought.
Thing is its very limited for free users , so i cant really tell.
Ask @Gordian , I think he tried wixâs AI generator , it can get the basics done , but its not perfect.
v0.dev is for devs , again , you always need a human to make sure certain things are developed in a certain way.
Perhaps web development will evolve , but you still need to learn the core basics to come out with a product that is secure, to your specifications and with the right UI/UX.
They trained us to write code on paper, without an IDE ( app developmental programs that make it easier to code) , but of course in real life you use software to help you.
There is no replacing experience and knowledge ( which is context that I feed to AI to ensure it doesnt go off the road)
Yea, working with Wix AI free version gives this All AI Guide, which as a newbie wouldnât have other super input like a pro working with it. In the sense that if you donât know which is wrong, you will work with all the ai suggestion
Thanks for the info, that was really helpful, Iâm thinking migrating to canva premium to try out their new features moving forward.
How do I get wix AI bro, is it on Playstore?
Simply this. Free tool.
