Eligibility criteria for hackaTRONs6. Read the OP carefully

• Residents from Brazil, Crimea, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Quebec
  and Nigeria are not eligible to participate in the hackathon.
• Individuals who are at least the age of majority in the country where
  they reside as of the time of entry. Teams or Organizations of any
  size are welcome to join.
• Entrants must create (or significantly update) a working software
  application/dApp/website that integrates with the TRON or BitTorrent
  blockchain that fits into one of the hackathon tracks
• Entrants must register not only on DevPost but also register on
  the TRON DAO Forum and create a post for the TRON Community under the season 6 category for TRON community voting.

For Community contributors prize community members who actively contribute during hackathon will be eligible

Hello Tronics! I’ve recently joined the Tron forum and am eager to share my project soon. I have a query regarding the integration track; there seems to be limited information available about it. Is it required for a project to integrate Tron/BTTC technology, or can it involve APIs/technologies from various blockchains?

Excited to see you join the Tron forum. Regarding your question I don’t think you are limited to only integrating Tron/BTTC technologies. You can also incorporate APIs/technologies from various blockchains to make your project innovative and impactful. But @WindsOfChange92 can confirm if this is correct or not

For the integration track you must integrate with something already existing on TRON or BTTC.

All projects in any category should be built on TRON or BTTC.

What's the main reason for Hackathons ( Projects perspective)

The main reason is to create a Minimum Viable Product. This is the first step for any start-up. After the hackathon, what projects should be doing is trying to secure funding. This involves the business side of things instead of the developer side of things. Funding is usually secured by going to VCs, angel investors, etc and showing your Minimum Viable Product, pitch deck and so on. I think maybe 10% of crypto projects get VC funding and even less on TRON. Projects can also join incubators …
