The funds come from the minting pool for the trx prizes. All others I have already purchased…
i have a smart contract for lottery system, i shared it with you by DM
Okay. This now struck another question. Is one wallet eligible for many entries into the lucky draw. Or you have a system that blacklist any previous winning wallet address from participating in subsequent draws, to give others a better shot at winning from the prize pool.
“All other prizes you have purchased” from your personal fund or…?
I know this question may sound so dumb but I hope you don’t mind answering it
from their explanations, the nft is your lottery ticket. So you can hold as many as you can and all will be qualified for the draw
Okay, which makes a holder to be eligible to as many wins as his luck may fetch him?
yes please, the lottery is for the nfts and not per wallet
Every nft is a ticket for every prize, the draw will be a random # between 1-6969 regardless of past draws
However, if the community thought it’s best to not allow a “double winner” we would be open to discuss it as we want the community to be happy
We would just need to hear some opinions/voices on the matter and then we can take a vote or something like that . As long as it gets done before the first drawing happens, I don’t want to be changing rules after and get people upset if you understand.
I think it will be good if one nft can only win once
We appreciate the thought but we have a plan for the drawings already to make sure there is no chance of cheating on chain.
This is our first go at this so we have no funds other then personal funds as we didn’t do any sort of fundraising by any means. I think that answer the question
We would be open to this idea. However I don’t like the idea of blacklisting a wallet from the big prize just because they maybe won a small prize at the start. I get blacklisting a single nft # from double wins but wallets should be fair game as the person may have minted many for many chances and it wouldn’t be fair to not allow them to win with the other 49 NFTs if 1 of the 50 they own wins a prize
oh yeah yeah, that’s true
Okay bro! It’s going to be a cozy ride though I would prefer where a wallet or NFT (to prevent bad actors from spreading their NFTs to multiple wallet addresses) is entitled to one win
hahahaha sure bro even if you do it wallet by wallet, people will still spread them
Yes I understand what you mean and for me, I would suggest for one win per wallet but this would give room for bad actors to have their NFTs sent to different wallet addresses and will still defeat the purpose of one person, one win. So I would go for the option of one win, one NFT. Any NFT that won before should be blacklisted from the future draws. With this, the reward can get across to many holders and will prevent one NFT from winning 2, 3, or x number of times. My opinion though
Ohh! I never know you have already arrived at this
This is absolutely what I’m trying to say but I think you said it better. One prize per NFT to give a wider room for more community members to win a share of the prize, no matter how little it may be
Yes, indeed it does. Thanks for being honest in answering the question
Yes, I think we have arrived at a clear understanding on this. One win per NFT but reading this struck another idea to me and that is, maybe you blacklist any NFT that have won from the previous draws from participating in future draws except from the grand prize.
To explain this in a more clear terms, if I have minted 50 NFTs to increase my chance at winning and eventually win with 1 NFT, that NFT should be blacklisted from participating in other minor prize draws. Leaving me with 49 NFTs to participate in the draws with. But at the draw of the grand prize, every blacklisted NFTs will be released to give all the NFTs a chance at the grand prize.
I hope you understand what I’m trying to say here but in case you didn’t, don’t hesitate to let me know so that I can explain my points better.
Yep but I will always trust the well-executed decision of a smart contract, and thus everything is recorded in the chain. And users can check it easily.
