Poll for users: What would you choose as the unit of measure of energy price?
- TRX/M/Day (TRX for 1 Million energy per day). Current way used in Ergon
- SUN/Day (SUN for 1 energy per day). This would show the same number as the previous, but with a shorter label.
- TRX/Day for 100,000 energy. This is what some other energy renting application use.
What should we adopt?

Someone might have noticed a few similarities between Ergon and the JustLend energy market recently released. The team was quite “surprised” to learn that a very big player was releasing a similar product at the same time, but this did not alter our commitment to providing users the best possible experience and earning opportunities.
So I think that it might be useful to highlight the main differences between Ergon and JL Energy market:
- JL applies the same base price to all rents, regardless of the duration. Ergon has discounts for longer rentals, up to 30%
- JL requires users to manually close the rent, meaning that 2 separate transactions are needed. If the user forgets to close the trade, a liquidation fee is taken from the user. Ergon requires a single transaction, the system automatically takes care to close the trade at the right time
- Renting on JL requires quite a bit of energy, so for small amounts the user might pay more than he’ll get. On average a rent takes about 160,000 energy (open + close), so for small amounts it would cost less a simple TRX burn. Small rentals are feeless on Ergon (up to 500,000), the team provides the energy for the transaction fees
- Ergon supports community projects and gives all staking votes to Turu Global SR. JL votes for Poloniex SR, Tronalliance SR, Blockanalysis SR, Crypto Labs SR and Callme SR.
- JL price is set depending on energy utilization rate, Ergon price is set on a model depending on energy utilization rate, time between trades and other parameters. Currently Ergon price is over 50% lower than JL.

This is well explained, but my problem is, why would JustLend venture into this energy business, something that has been around to help the community. Why can’t they leave it alone, why is the big boys in tron always looking to suck out the life of the members.
I will choose yours anyday over justlend.

That the 1M$ question! The only answer I can find is greed and money (wanting always more and more and more of it).
When the ruler is also a player in the game, it’s very hard to have a fair contest.

We are really trying, believe me. Together with Turu, JustMoney, NRG and many others who believe that community should be at the heart of Tron. We are not giving up, but we’re fighting something much bigger than us.
