IPin aims to simplify and secure the registration of intellectual property (IP) using blockchain technology. We provide an efficient solution for registering brand names, music, patents, research papers, and other IP assets in a globally recognized and secure manner, helping users protect their creations and manage IP ownership seamlessly.
Project Value:
Traditionally, enforcing intellectual property (IP) rights has relied on legal systems, requiring costly legal representation and court proceedings. Technological solutions like Digital Rights Management (DRM) have attempted to address these issues but often fall short. However, the emergence of blockchain technology offers a more effective, decentralized solution for IP registration and protection.
By leveraging blockchain, IPin provides creators with a secure, immutable way to record and verify their intellectual property. This decentralized network ensures that once an IP asset is registered, the record is permanent and cannot be altered or tampered with. Blockchain’s transparency also allows anyone to easily verify ownership and attribution claims, simplifying the process of tracking and enforcing rights. While legal systems are still evolving in their recognition of blockchain as a means to resolve disputes, its potential is being increasingly acknowledged, as evidenced by countries like China exploring its application in IP cases. Through IPin, creators can ensure that their work is securely registered and protected from the moment it’s created to its distribution and beyond, providing a new level of trust and security in managing intellectual property.

- Open IPin website
- Connect to your wallet
- If u want to register an IP, click ‘IP register’ menu on navbar
- Fill all the required data and click Register IP
- You can see all the IP that u have on IPin in IP menu
- If you want to sell an IP that you’ve just register, on IP detail you can determine the price and click ‘sell’ button
- Now your IP will appear on Ip Marketplace
- And if you want to buy an IP, you can open IP detail page on IP marketplace
- Click Buy IP
- Finish the transaction
- You can see the IP that you’ve just bought on ‘IP’ menu

In today’s digital age, protecting intellectual property (IP) is becoming increasingly difficult, especially with the rise of AI-generated content. AI has been found to frequently repurpose existing works without proper licensing or acknowledgment, contributing to widespread misuse of music, art, and written materials. Content creators are facing an alarming increase in unauthorized reproductions of their work, and the digital nature of these assets makes it easy for violators to copy and distribute them quickly across the internet. Tracking down these infringers is a daunting task, and even when they are identified, proving misuse in court can be difficult due to inconsistent IP enforcement standards across jurisdictions.
Moreover, the current process for registering intellectual property rights is both costly and time-consuming. According to USPTO, the initial application fee registering a copyright is $225 per clas excluding legal fees if disputes arise, and the process can take months. For smaller creators, this can be prohibitively expensive. Even with registration, content owners still struggle to monitor and protect their work online. There is no global, unified repository for IP registration, and international protections. These issues often leave creators vulnerable, particularly in cases of smaller-scale infringements, where the cost of pursuing legal action outweighs the potential damages.
IPin offers a practical solution to these challenges by acting as a third-party platform for logging intellectual property on the blockchain. While we don’t replace formal government IP registration, IPin allows creators to securely record their work with a time-stamped, tamper-proof log on the blockchain, providing irrefutable proof of ownership. The platform simplifies the registration process by removing the need for unnecessary government documents, making IP protection more accessible. For each registered work, IPin issues a non-fungible token (NFT), which serves as proof of ownership and can be traded or licensed easily on our platform. This allows creators to monetize their intellectual property while ensuring that the ownership record is transparent and secure. By leveraging blockchain technology, IPin helps creators protect their work globally, reducing the legal complexities and high costs associated with traditional IP registration.

August 2024:
- We began developing the core features of IPin, focusing on building the IP registration and NFT issuance functionalities.
- Conducted research into blockchain integration, user interface design, and securing intellectual property records on a decentralized ledger.
September 2024: Smart Contract Development and Internal Testing
- Developed smart contracts for IP registration
- Began internal testing of the platform’s core features, including IP registration
October 2024:
- IPin will go live on the BTTC testnet for public testing.
- Users will be able to register their intellectual property on the testnet, receive NFT proofs of ownership, and experiment with the platform’s functionalities.
- Open testing period to gather feedback and address any issues.
November 2024:
- Based on feedback from the testnet phase, we will refine the platform, making any necessary adjustments to the smart contracts, user interface, and overall user experience.
- Prepare for the mainnet launch, ensuring the platform is fully optimized and ready for broader use.
