Introducing miniMEME: The IoT-Blockchain Fusion for Tron!
Hello Tron community!
I’m excited to introduce miniMEME, a project that combines the power of blockchain with the world of IoT, bringing Tron meme culture to life in a fun, visual way. The idea came to me while enjoying the creativity of Sunpump meme coins, and I thought: “How cool would it be to display these newly added Tron meme coins on an internet-connected picture frame?” That’s how miniMEME was started!
What is miniMEME?
miniMEME is an ESP32-based IoT device that connects to the internet and displays meme images, live memecoin prices, TRX price highlights, and more—all in a beautifully designed, dashboard-style interface. With its easy-to-use web interface, you can control everything from slideshow speed to screen orientation, right from your browser!

- Meme Slideshow: Watch a slideshow of your favourite Tron memes right on your device.
- Real-time Memecoin Prices: Stay updated with the latest memecoin prices and 5-minute price changes.
- Prominent TRX Price Display: See the current TRX price at a glance.
- Date & Time Display: Keep track of time while enjoying the memes.
- Web Interface: Control settings like screen orientation, slideshow speed, and start a fullscreen random stack collage mode.
Why miniMEME?
Blockchain and IoT have been hyped for years, but real-world, fun applications have been few and far between. miniMEME changes that by showcasing Tron blockchain meme coins in a unique and interactive way. It’s user-friendly, affordable, and brings the meme culture to your desk in real-time!
Project Goal:
The primary goal of miniMEME is to create a fun and practical demonstration of how the Tron blockchain can be integrated with IoT technology, using an affordable, low-power device like the ESP32.
By displaying meme coin images and real-time cryptocurrency data, miniMEME showcases the potential of decentralized applications in the IoT space.
The project aims to make blockchain technology accessible and entertaining while providing users with an interactive experience that blends art, finance, and technology in an easy-to-use platform.

Future Growth Potential / ultimate goal: collaborate with ESP32 board manufacturers, miniMEME could become a widely available product, preloaded with its software for Tron enthusiasts.

Project Milestones:
Milestone 1 - Finished
- Create the first version of miniMEME opensource client and server side software
- Make everything aivible to download and try
- Introduce miniMEME to the Tron community on Devpost and Tron DAO Forum
- Create Discord and telegram groups
Milestone 2 - unfinished
- Move the server backend onto a remote server so that it can run 24/7
- Integrate a wifi setup manager that makes it possible to enter the wifi credentials of your wifi network with the use of a mobile phone that connect directly to the device. (no hardcoding needed / headless setup / makes it more user friendly )
- Create a one file installation method for the client, that would take less than 5 min to install on a new board (No need to install the Arduino IDE and libraries, makes it more user friendly)
- Add more Slideshow effect
- Make use of the boards 2 hardware buttons to switch screens / slideshow effects
- Add improvements and fixes suggested by users of the miniMEME community
