Protect Yourself From the CryptoShuffle Trojan. ⚠️

At this point we will call out our developers and
Programers in our mist…

@fabsltsa

I know how tedious that can be cause I once had an issue with an important yet corrupted flash drive, that was readable whenever it was inserted in the usb port and it’s quite obvious you have a persistent clipboard virus on your PC that is causing your copied text to change into crypto addresses. Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve this issue:

  1. Run a Full Antivirus Scan: Use a reputable antivirus program to perform a thorough scan of your entire system to detect and remove any malicious software. Make sure your antivirus definitions are up to date before running the scan.

  2. Use Malware Removal Tools: Consider using specialized malware removal tools such as Malwarebytes or AdwCleaner to scan for and remove any potentially unwanted programs or adware that might be causing the issue.

  3. Check for Browser Extensions: If the issue is specific to your web browser, check for any suspicious or unwanted browser extensions and remove them.

  4. Update Windows and Software: Ensure that your Windows operating system and all your software, including web browsers and security software, are up to date with the latest patches and updates.

  5. Disconnect from the Internet: To prevent further infection or data loss, disconnect your PC from the internet while you troubleshoot and clean your system.

  6. Clear Clipboard Cache: Clear your clipboard cache by pressing Win + R, typing “cmd” to open Command Prompt, and then running the command “echo off | clip”.

  7. Perform System Restore: If the issue persists, consider using System Restore to revert your system to a point before you encountered the clipboard virus.

  8. Backup and Reinstall: If all else fails, backup your important files and consider performing a clean reinstallation of your operating system to ensure complete removal of the virus.

Remember, it’s important to follow these steps carefully and consult with a professional if you’re unsure about any of the actions. It’s always a good idea to have a backup of your important data before making any significant changes to your system.

That’s an actively running Trojan virus, it’s always good to have a constantly update antivirus running in your PC for early detection and elimination of malware. Interms of knowing what to/what not to delete to prevent loss of files and sensitive data since deleting an infected file manually can sometimes work to remove a virus, but it’s important to approach this cautiously. I’ve few tips I’d share and hopefully could be of help;

  1. Backup: Before deleting any files, back up your important data to an external drive or cloud storage. This ensures you don’t lose important information in case something goes wrong.

  2. Terminate Processes: If the virus is actively running, you might need to terminate its processes using Task Manager before attempting to delete the infected file.

  3. Boot into Safe Mode: Boot your computer into Safe Mode before attempting to delete the infected file. Safe Mode loads only essential system files, making it easier to remove malicious files that might be active in normal mode.

  4. Use Trusted Antivirus or Anti-Malware: If you’re unsure about manually deleting the file, consider running a reputable antivirus or anti-malware software to handle the removal process for you.

  5. Check System Files: Be cautious when deleting system files, as removing essential files could lead to system instability or crashes. Focus on removing infected files in your personal directories or temporary folders.

  6. Registry Entries: Some viruses may create registry entries that need to be removed. Editing the Windows Registry is risky; make sure you know what you’re doing or seek expert help.

  7. Monitor for Recurrence: Even if you successfully delete the infected file, it’s important to monitor your system for any signs of recurrence or unusual behavior.

If you’re not confident in your ability to handle the manual removal process, it’s recommended to seek assistance from a professional or a knowledgeable friend with experience in computer programming and virus removal. They can guide you through the process and ensure that your actions do not inadvertently cause more harm to your system.

Okay, on the issue on lost data.
Do you have valuable data you have in the pc?
In case the upgrade comes with some loses

Oh I have partitioned my local disk so I can have a backup

Ok I have a solution now. At the moment I have 0 malware on my PC. I will always check to see if indeed they are gone.

I used Rkill to terminate the suspicious programs and I used Malwarebytes to scan and quarantine the detected malwares.

Lastly, reset browser settings to default.
