Simplifying Stablecoin Payments in Cannabis industry - Simple Sales- Simply Crypto

HWPay.io is a cryptocurrency payment service provider focused on facilitating transactions in the cannabis industry and elsewhere.

Project Name: HighWayPay (hwpay.io)

Telegram: @JahnGal

X (Twitter): @hwpay_io

Website: https://hwpay.io

The platform enables businesses to accept payments in stablecoins such as USDT (Tether) and USDC (USD Coin), offering a fast, secure, and efficient alternative to traditional payment methods.

Targeting industries like cannabis—where conventional banking and payment systems often fall short due to regulatory challenges—hwpay.io provides a practical workaround by leveraging blockchain technology.

Project Goal: The goal of the project is to become a cryptocurrency equivalent of Visa or Mastercard, providing merchants with a seamless, reliable, and widely accepted stablecoin payment system.

Unique Value Proposition: Our project adds value to TRON by being the first to offer a stablecoin payment solution for cannabis stores, already live in several shops. It gives TRON users a real way to spend stablecoins, taps into an underserved market with better accessibility than banks, and boosts TRON’s practical use while setting an example for the blockchain community.

Technical & Governance Details

Technical Details: Users need to have their own crypto wallet, as we provide a non-custodial solution, ensuring they retain full control over their stablecoins.

Smart Contract Links: The smart contract, designed to facilitate fee collection for payments, is currently under development, with the fee directed to us and the primary payment allocated to the merchant.

How is the Project Governed?: Is it centralized, but we are non-custodial

Funding & Business Model

Funding Request: We are looking investment to expand our operations, enhance marketing initiatives, and advance our development efforts.

Revenue Model: Our revenue model relies on collecting a commission on each incoming payment transaction.

Interested in TRON Having a Stake?: Yes, TRON is currently one of the leading networks for stablecoins, and we are committed to pursuing deep integration with its ecosystem.

Preferred Collaboration Method: Promoting the use of stablecoins as a payment method is a significant challenge with clear objectives. The more people hold stablecoins, the greater the demand will be for their practical application.

Ecosystem Impact

Partnerships: K22N Crypto wallet, AML BOT, Argos identity

Time on TRON: TRON is one of our base blockchain

Project Milestones

Project Milestones: We have targeted the cannabis industry due to its limited access to financial services and heavy reliance on cash. Every day, we strive to expand our network and increase awareness. Our current major focus is forging partnerships with POS systems to unlock access to a broader customer base.

Project in 5 Years: In the cannabis industry, we aim to process 30 percent of all crypto payments and hope that the total volume of such payments reaches at least 20 percent of all transactions. Additionally, we envision expanding into other sectors and establishing ourselves as a widely recognized leader in cryptocurrency payment acceptance.

Welcome to TBL team. Same question came in mind @ines_valerie :joy:

Why cannabis, what’s the reason behind? What gap have you identified in that industry and want to solve?

Thank you for this excellent question. We recognized that while traditional banking solutions are available, they often come with the risk of funds being frozen—an issue that critically disrupts business operations, especially in a cash-heavy industry like cannabis. Our research reveals that nearly 30% of cannabis dispensary users are also familiar with cryptocurrencies, highlighting a unique opportunity to integrate more dynamic financial solutions. Importantly, our approach isn’t confined solely to the cannabis sector; we’re already empowering businesses in cafés, karaoke bars, and various entertainment venues, ensuring smoother transactions and enhanced customer experiences.

Offering stable coin services for cannabis transactions is a first for me, but we all know how regulated the cannabis industry is, so how would you deal with regulations and acquiring licenses for operation?

Thank you for your question. Since we are not a custodial solution, we do not require licensing. From a compliance perspective, every customer of our cannabis dispensary clients undergoes thorough KYC verification each time they submit the necessary documents for a purchase. Coupled with the inherent transparency of blockchain transactions, this process provides regulators with a clear and comprehensive view of all operations, ensuring that our clients maintain a high level of transparency and regulatory compliance.

Ines thank you for your activity in our topic. We utilize advanced AI-powered models to collect data from the mobile devices of visitors to cannabis stores. This data is anonymized and non-personal, yet it captures the specific interests of users through their search queries and online activity.

Prince-Onscolo thank you for your activity in our topic. We have an understanding of why this happens. The most common case is when the client (cannabis dispensary) does not report its actual type of activity. It also happens that banks do not notify regulators of their decision to service such types of businesses.
