Hey, that post from @Nweke-nature1.com clearly explains why TBL was launched this year instead of Hackatron. There is less excitement, but a longer-term vision for TRON

Oh nah, I wouldn’t say dead, that’s such a strong word lol.
I think it’s best we wait for updates moving forward, not denying also the fact that there has been a backdrop in terms of participation in comparison to previous succession of Hackathon, that’s just my 2 cents.

However, I perfectly understand why this year the approach was TBL and not Hackatron. Makes sense.
Many good things to come for those ready to embrace a long-term plan and not quick bucks.

Hopefully the delay, or slow news as I put it, means the true projects building on Tron get a proper look in and proper funding. Eliminate people or teams who have come to try make a quick buck.
Saying that, also hanging for an official update on where the TBL is at. Even just an update or what projects have been reviewed, who is still in for further review, who need to modify/adjust their project and re submit maybe?

I feel TBL is good way to reward builders who are here with a long term vision. Issue with hackaTRON was that many builders were only in for the quick cash. With hackaTRON most builders just built and dump after hackaTRON completion. Now the issue with the on going TBL is lack of consistent update from TRON DAO team. I agree with @JLod here the team should provide updates to projects.
I also like to suggest that projects should be given some deadlines to achieve certain milestones after submission similar to hackaTRONs. Just to keep it more engaging. Anyhow teams who are constantly building have been providing their updates in TRON forum as well.

True builder here , helping the community and I haven’t been contacted by the TRON dao team. We have made big claims and have consistently delivered.
I’m a solo builder contributing so much in months ( built all this in less than 6 months), innovating and contributing more than some projects that have been building for years.
Imagine if I was supported, the TRON ecosystem will be so much stronger, I need all the resources I can get, there bigger projects already have so much firepower , please support the underdogs that truely need the help and funding.
Most innovation comes from these new projects.

What is this criteria? How much must Tronpower accomplish to even get a message?
In my opinion, the message from them is a bit confusing, but I can understand they have not yet contacted anyone, but preselected some projects and having some internal discussion about it. If that is not the case, then it will be great to know what projects have been already reached out by DAO team. Projects leaders please let us know if your projects were selected. This will clarify everything.
Of course I agree with @tronpower.xyz , that no explanation of what are/were the criteria to be preselected. That let rest of the projects in the dark.
