The blockchain trilemma: Decentralization, security, and scalability

Usually when you are about to get scammed you forget about doing your due diligence :joy: You do everything at a top speed but when they finished you, you start checking everything lol

This is is when You go into slow mode to check and rechecked if the speed was actually a problem

Hahaha yeah security is very crucial.

I remember saying if we don’t take care the little we have gathered in crypto will be stolen when we are trying to add more.

Protect what you :pray:t2:

You have to secure your warehouse before you import your goods, if not you are doing at your own risk

If you didn’t keep it well , they will organize it wel for you

Very Correct.
Even in transit and seeking for Massive adoption
It must be secured, both to users and to project owners

I’m Asake voice… ORGANISE… EVERY OTHER DAY I ORGANISE

All three are very important in the Blockchain world but the security aspect is very much important even in our day to day activities security is important

Same for driving :joy: Security first! But I tend to forget that rule

Better ask to someone who use to do it before you do it because I’ve heard it’s tricky. Haven’t done it myself.

 :joy: Defiantly. But I will need some Test user though

I must admit that you have made an important case with your examples on how the 3 works correlatively and should be prioritised mutually. But in a matter of choosing one that should matters the most, I think more priority should then be given to security because a sec of security threat to someone investment can cause more damage than what a slack of decentralisation and scalability can cause.

Taking from this example you gave again, the lorry driver instructed the conductor to beat you. Let’s assume the conductor finally beat you, that will only leave some bruises on you which will heal over time. But have you ever imagined how you will feel waking up one morning and realise that all your life savings are lost as a result of inadequate security infrastructure of the platform you are using?

It’s better to imagine this than experience it and for this, if I should should one among Security, Decentralization, and Scalability. I will surely go for Security.

I strongly agree with you on this. We are seeing decentralization more on papers than practice

This got me thinking… with high speed and low/no security, I wonder what the high speed will be needed for, maybe to check a stolen fund indeed :rofl::joy:

hahahahaha please don’t forget we need you alive :joy::joy:

yeah so I won’t bet that with security, just give me security I will manage the rest :joy::joy:
