Firstly, we want to extend our sincerest apologies for the delay in responding to your previous message. We truly value your engagement and are grateful for your interest in TraceCheck.
The reason for our late reply is twofold. Firstly, we encountered an issue with a bot that was unintentionally hiding our project post, which temporarily restricted our ability to comment. We’ve since resolved this issue to ensure we can actively engage with the community moving forward.
Secondly, our team has been deeply engrossed in the development of TraceCheck to make it even better. We’re dedicated to refining and enhancing our platform to meet the needs of our users. While this has kept us quite busy, we’re committed to maintaining an open line of communication with our community members.
Once again, thank you for your understanding and patience. If you have any more questions or feedback, please feel free to share them. Your input is highly valued.
I totally understand how you have project related issues to deal with, but regular updates so as not to leave your community hanging on a thin thread is more than necessary here, kudos on everything, watching closely as Hackathon advances, thank you!
Nice initiative. I see this project as a means to store our credentials on blockchain and this have lot of solutions it offers. But my question is on how save the information we provide on the platform will be. How do you plan to ensure the security of the education records and employers background information stored in the platform?
We greatly appreciate your interest in TraceCheck.
We used Smart contracts as they play a crucial role in securing the data. They’re used to handle general CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations and data management. We leverage IPFS for storing certificates and other associated documents. As we know, IPFS is a distributed, peer-to-peer file system that provides a high level of data redundancy and resilience. Files are broken into smaller pieces and distributed across a network, making them resistant to data loss and Smart contracts are executed on the blockchain, ensuring that these operations are transparent, traceable, and irreversible.
Thank you for sharing the details of your project and its implementation of smart contracts and IPFS. It’s great to see how these technologies are being utilized to enhance data security and management.
Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement, @Nana66419 . We truly appreciate your support and understanding of the importance of taking a pilot step first. It’s an essential part of our journey, and we’re committed to making TraceCheck a reliable and trusted platform for credential evaluation.
Your trust and confidence in TraceCheck mean a lot to us, and we’re dedicated to providing a secure and efficient solution for credential verification.Your feedback and engagement are invaluable to us, and we’re excited to have you as a potential user in the future.
Thank you, @Youngyuppie , for your kind words and well wishes. We’re excited about the potential of blockchain, smart contracts, and IPFS to provide a secure and efficient solution for data management and verification.
Your support means a lot to us, and we’re committed to making TraceCheck a trusted and reliable platform for all users. If you have any more questions or if there’s anything else you’d like to know about our project, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Your engagement and interest in our project are greatly appreciated.
I like the idea! Im curious what would prevent a person from creating multiple accounts or trying to add information that was not legitimate? Are there safeguards in place to help prevent these issues?
Thank you for your interest in our platform! Preventing the creation of multiple accounts and the addition of non-legitimate information is a critical aspect of ensuring the integrity of TraceCheck. We have implemented several safeguards to address these issues and are planning to introduce more in the future:
Blockchain Immutability: Once a record is added to the blockchain, it becomes tamper-proof. This means that any changes or additions to information require verification and validation, making it extremely challenging for users to manipulate the data once it’s recorded.
Track Alumni Function: The “Track Alumni” feature allows us to easily trace back the source of any suspicious or incorrect information. This feature is essential for accountability and ensuring the accuracy of the data on the platform.
Access Control: In the future, we will introduce access control mechanisms. This means that only specific, authorized users will have permission to review and modify information. Access control will help prevent unauthorized users from making changes and will add an additional layer of security.
I have been following your milestones regularly and you have always progressed in the right way, I am looking forward to improving your site design and bringing more features. I hope you have a prosperous future

Let’s make TraceCheck a game-changer together! If you ever have more thoughts or questions, feel free to drop them our way.
That’s a fantastic question, and we’re fully committed to the security and privacy of our users’ sensitive data on the TraceCheck platform.
Here are some specific security measures and protocols we’ve implemented:
We’ve incorporated smart contracts into our system for a vital role in data security. These contracts are responsible for managing common CRUD tasks (Create, Read, Update, Delete) and overseeing data management. In addition, we’ve harnessed IPFS for the storage of certificates and related documents. IPFS is a distributed, peer-to-peer file system known for its robust data redundancy and resilience. It achieves this by breaking files into smaller components and dispersing them across a network, making them highly resistant to data loss. Moreover, our smart contracts operate on the blockchain, ensuring the transparency, traceability, and irreversibility of these operations.
