We launched and announced it as instructed
And been a complex project we did alot of rushing and this is a project that requires atleast a year to build and we have done alot of updates for this hackathon, we built a brand new UI which is up to Industry standard, we bought domain and server and have deployed to main server, at digemart.com, app.digemart.com, we have deployed to the mainnet, Skillpay is a brand new project we worked on from my team and itâs not been listed either
The organisation explained that they only displayed the projects allowed to participate by devpost. Devpost team reviewed the projects and have decided if they have met all the requirements or not.
From what I can see, you did not state in your post what was new from your post in season 2 where you won prizes. (From what I can tell, you only changed the UI). If they then see that you have a new post this season with a VERY similar project that almost even has the same name (digitalmart vs digemart) then I can see why they are suspicious.
If you go to the community post, you do see elaborate updates and everything that has been done for this hackathon and I have certainly been keeping the community updated and responding to all concerns
But Digemart is live on mainnet and we have done alot of major updates for the project, skillpay is a completely new project that has met all the criterias and has been deployed to shasta testnet, itâs a brand new project from my team, I seem to be confused why I canât find it for voting, plus itâs published on devpost
My projects werenât listed⊠what happened this time?.. if I wasnât eligible, why let me know now⊠DID WE HAVE THE TIME TO FIX ANY ERRORS (everything is fine with devepost)?
In your case I think that the problem is that your S2 entry was not completed. Where is Digitalmart? Did you ever release that app? Itâs hard to propose a rebranding of something that was not released in the first place.
In every situation, there is good and bad and whatever happens we learn our lessons from it.
I think cleaning the system through a strict laid down approach was in its right direction. The forum is growing exponentially, more projects with serious use cases are trooping in and it is better to up your game or be eliminated.
It has been said time and time again that most projects added something very small to an existing project and brought it forward knowing they could have won something from the community because they have the numbers. These concerns from myself and the likes of @fabsltsa, @Sirluke were listened to and i know it was clearly adhered.
But next time @admin.hackathon advanced notifications and alarms should be sounded clearly to avoid all these banter. I think there was a miscommunication somewhere.
If a project was made aware of it flaws and cautioned to rectify it or suffer elimination, all these brouhaha would have not occured in the first place.
So I recommend that going forward, prior notice should be given in advance, so that the teams involved will know the full negative effect if they fail to do the needful.
To the teams who didnt have the chance, this is not the end of the road, go back, have time and prepare accordingly, tomorrow is another day.
I know some are super furious, but lets be mindful of whatever is said today, cos we might be forced to eat our words tomorrow. Peace and enjoy the game whilst it last. Congratulations to everyone who made it and better luck to those who couldnât. Thank you
Well said. Good communication is the key to avoid misunderstandings. If we look back at S1 and S2 the HackaTRON management team did a great job, improving and fixing things along the way, by listening to community suggestions. Itâs not perfect (nothing really is) and will keep on improving for S4, S5, etcâŠ
I know they are listening and preparing accordingly. S4 will be mega, people will come fully armed to the tooth. It will be a do or die affair. I cant wait for s4, the adrenaline will be far greater than what we are witnessing today.
Totally agree, low value updates or even projects re-entering the hackathon with 0 releases to the public do not deserve to win additional prizes. Good job @admin.hackathon and everyone taking care of the filtering =). In case a legit project was mistakenly labeled Iâm sure it can be solved
Yes of course it was released and MVP was available, and season 2 which we took part, an MVP didnât seem a problem, we met every criteria then, now going forward and trying to build the project to global standard, it was mandatory for a redesign of everything, the UI, the smart contract and everything to fit into industry standards, digitalmart is still Digemart. And being a really complex project which requires alot of time to finish, we donât want to rush over a product that will stand the test of time, itâs clear the period of the hackathon is not sufficient to build such a complex project, so we did everything required while still in line with our purpose, we launched to mainnet and everything is also on our live server, so I donât get if I am missing any other thing here, Skillpay is a completely new project from my team, why is that not even listed?
