I don’t think is possible but how were they able to transition from eth to eth2.0 smart contracts weren’t involved? @Prince-Onscolo @Youngyuppie @Gordian ?
Hello @TronPower I’m even more encouraged by the work your putting in to keep building. I’m not a developer although I know a few basics but your problem just asking from a lays man perspective is it not possible to have some form of Subsystem that tracks the updated information and sends this data to the new contract itself
Have no idea maybe @EMerchant @TronNinjas @Stian and the above mentioned can help

I just defended my school project on Wednesday.
I recall when saying No Idea is like a sin In my department.
Well on this one too.
My knowledge don’t permit me to
UNDERSTAND
Hhahahaha
like that department, you can’t be saying no idea and leave lol
Lols
The department will believe you have to say
Any other thing but not the word NO IDEA.
But in reality, some conditions have us reacting that way.
Lmao
Engineering especially
Lols
Don’t forget Agriculture Department too
Hi, we need to understand what you mean by “updating a contract”. An upgradeable contract works using a proxy and this ensures that all the data in the contract is retained between updates.
Instead if you mean deploying a new contract and move the info from one to another, it can be done, but you need to have a way to extract all the required info from the old contract. Private variables cannot be accesses if they don’t have a dedicated view function.
You can contact me in private if you wish.

Please can you elaborate on the upgrade contract?
From studies am told a contract can not been changed when it’s live on the chain
That is true, but there are ways to do it. The most common is to have a proxy contract that acts as a relay to an implementation contract. The proxy sends all call request to the implementation. The catch is that the owner can decide to point the proxy to a different implementation contract, thus changing the system behavior and obtaining the goal of updating a contract.
When developers are talking, we just watch and learn. @TronPower feel free to DM @Sirluke, one of the best Tron ecosystem has to offer.
