Both parents need that, but father tend to go silent as when to celebrate when their children get to stand.

It’s natural , it’s designed to be that way though if i must say, mostly father protect in the financial aspect but mother is around , your dad did a great job by scoring a goal as a sharp striker but mother guided the ball
