The DAO within the CarboEx platform can help ensure that carbon credits cannot be tampered with. A DAO is a type of organization that is governed by rules encoded as computer programs on a blockchain network. By using a DAO, the rules for trading carbon credits can be encoded in a smart contract that cannot be tampered with or altered by any individual or entity.
When an organization wants to trade carbon credits on the CarboEx platform, they would first need to have their RE certificates verified by the DAO. Once the DAO has verified the certificates, the carbon credits can be converted into CarboEx platform tokens. The smart contract governing the conversion process is transparent and cannot be altered or tampered with, ensuring that the carbon credits are accurately represented as tokens on the platform.
Similarly, when other organizations want to purchase carbon credits from the CarboEx platform, they would need to exchange their tokens for the carbon credits. This process is also governed by a smart contract and cannot be tampered with, ensuring that the carbon credits are accurately exchanged for the tokens.
So, using a DAO and smart contracts can help ensure that the carbon credits traded on the CarboEx platform are genuine, transparent, and cannot be tampered with.

For example, the carbon emissions produced by driving a car in Canada may be different from the carbon emissions produced by driving the same car in the United States or another country. This is because each country may have different factors that take into account the fuel type, vehicle efficiency, and other factors that contribute to carbon emissions.
Therefore, it’s important to select the correct country in the calculator feature to get accurate calculations of carbon emissions. We provide the same feature on our website, which you can check on the resources page as well.
