I just checked your platform and I noticed that users need to provide their private keys before using your platform for their trades and this made me question on the adoptability of your project. Why do users have to compromise the security of their private key before making use of your platform?

Is their no other way of using your platform without the need for users to provide their private keys?

We do not demand for private keys.

We only require your Exchange API key. And the reason for this is to secure your funds.

This will enable us trade on your behalf direct from your exchange.

What do I mean by exchange?

  • Bybit
  • Binance
  • Kucoin
  • etc

Your exchanges will give you security options to use the keys.

But If you are using other services like signals/market insight and investment you do not need to provide the API keys (meaning application programming interface keys)

But beside the API key, there is a requirement for a secret key. Can you explain what you mean by that?

Please if anyone asks for your private keys please do not relinquish that information to them.

While getting your key from your exchange.

You will be given two keys which are your

  1. API key
  2. API secret (this comes up once)

Note: this is called the API keys

This keys do not work separately you need ithem to give permission to the app to trade for you.

  1. when connecting your binance or any other exchange using API connection you do have the options on what CYFIBOT can control. you can disable functionalities like withdrawal from the settings.

  2. You have option to limit access to only CYFIBOT IP Address so that peradventure you do disclose your connection access to an untrusted source, then nothing will still happen because only CYFIBOT has access to your account.

  3. You can also create a sub account solely for CYFIBOT which is seperate from your main account

Ok, I was wondering why users have to provide a private key before using your platform but now I clearly understand that I was reading it wrong. Thanks for being able to explain to my understanding :raised_hands:
