HackaTRON S7 - Community Voting Has Begun!

I checked our submission and we met all the criteria! Someone commented on our post saying that our app wasn’t working, but our developers confirmed that our app has been working as intended the entire time.

I’m disappointed because we spent a lot of time and effort on this submission and it appears we have been disqualified because of a misunderstanding.

Hello @SimbadMarino, could you briefly comment on the reason for GiveTron’s disqualification, so we can improve in the future?

I know it is a stressfull week for project owners. Besides for forum users it is mostly fun to vote. It’s sometimes sad that we only have 3 votes per track, because there are so many quality projects. Keep pushing this week and inform forum about your updates.

Well done to all the teams who have advanced to this stage :star_struck:

Its very funny to see that many promising projects were not selected for some arbitrary rule and many projects which were selected doesnt even make sense. just an example

  • #W13 CalorieCoin Gym started in 2019 that is 5 years ago and still it is in Web3 track.
  • #W4 Chum Chats is a 3 years old project and also qualified for the Web3 track.

Almost all new projects that were selected had transactions more than 20 days ago that means these projects were not even run for smart contract checks. And its amusing to see projects with real potential were specifically targeted by few individuals and removed from the judging criteria.

  1. Meduhub: @Denno Decentralizing health
  2. SunID: @vinhtran @david7
  3. CryptoCourier: @mightyminer
  4. BrawlsChampion: @ashushar Secretly rooted for your project.

These are just some of the projects and there are many

Really disappointed with this community and ironically that tron buddy and tron puppy are on the list. just check out their smart contracts. its a joke.

Would encourage people to go to solana or Ethereum community which has a wider adoption and supports much more technically inclined projects rather than just funding their old and dead community projects.

Yep Upon checking the smart contracts of these projects many dont even have a single transaction in 18 days or so and have as little as 10 transactions

I did not host my application as I did not have resources to host the AI engine and had provided very detailed documentation how to do so locally. If I knew the projects were not even been tested and just the frontend was being checked I would have deployed a free vercel app.

after seeing these projects categorically being target I seriously doubt the intentions of the moderators and admin. with all due respect

Honestly its not about, not being selected or something but the reason for it. winning or losing is just a very small part of the development but each and every project not selected deserves at least a very brief reason. Most important part of hack is feedback even more than winning the whole event but I felt it was missing and instead there were few spreading toxicity and surprisingly all projects they targeted are not here. If the devs can spend 2-3 months building something the moderator can at least spend 5 mins for feedback or atleast 10 mins to checkout the project. Participated in many hacks, won a few, lost in many but this is the first time it felt unjust.

I understand your feeling, and would agree to a great extent.

These are the things of qualifications & disqualifications which needs to be changed, but with every passing Season there has been a progress and I believe there will be a change more transparent and less disheartening for the hackers.

The former seasons of TRON introduced me & my team to web3, & it allowed us to wander into other ecosystems. Hence, I know what you are suggesting but TRON has it’s own way & that has helped many.

I really the projects you mentioned get qualified & we start with that change, but @SimbadMarino would have reason for dropping every single project I believe.
He has been active & harbinger of change. Keep it up.
