Howdy Tronics! HackaTRON S6 has entered the Community Voting phase, and we invite all members of the TRON DAO Forum to cast their votes for their favorite projects.

We are thrilled to share that HackaTRON has garnered 1,130 participants from both new and returning teams. Our partners and judges are eager to review the submitted projects.

This season features remarkable submissions across five tracks: Web3, Artistry, DeFi, Integration and Builder. The contestants have showcased the strength and creativity of building projects on the TRON ecosystem.

Now, it’s your chance to influence the outcome! As a community member, you have three votes per track to help determine the winners who will benefit from the community-selected prize pool. This funding will aid teams in further developing their projects for the mainnet and future updates.

The Judges-selected Qualifiers will initially receive 30% of their prize from the Judges-selected winners’ pool, with the remainder awarded upon project publication to the mainnet by 2024-06-28T19:00:00Z. The prize breakdown per track for Judges-selected Qualifiers is as follows:

  • 1st Prize: 25k in TRX/USDT
  • 2nd Prize: 15k in TRX/USDT
  • 3rd Prize: 10k in TRX/USDT
  • 4th Prize: 8k in TRX/USDT
  • 5th Prize: 6k in TRX/USDT

Community Vote Prizes

For Community Vote winners, the prize distribution per track is:

  • 1st Place: 7k in TRX/USDT
  • 2nd Place: 6k in TRX/USDT
  • 3rd Place: 5k in TRX/USDT
  • 4th Place: 4k in TRX/USDT
  • 5th Place: 3k in TRX/USDT

Bonus prizes are awarded after Milestone 2 and will only be granted if there are qualifying projects that meet the standard to claim them.

Criteria for Voting

When selecting projects to vote for, consider the following:

  • Innovation: Does the project introduce novel ideas to the TRON ecosystem?
  • Potential Impact: Could the project significantly affect the TRON ecosystem and its users?
  • Execution: Do the team members possess the necessary skills and experience to realize their vision?

Your vote is instrumental in highlighting the most innovative and promising projects within the TRON community. Let’s showcase our collective potential!

Additionally, we are offering Community Contributor Prizes to forum members who actively support the HackaTRON forum. Up to ten contributors will receive:

  • $500 worth of TRX or USDT each

Last season, community involvement was outstanding, making the forum more dynamic and self-sustaining. We encourage you to contribute again and provide invaluable feedback to help the TRON community thrive.

If you’re a hackathon participant disappointed that your project didn’t make the list, don’t despair.

Several factors may have contributed to your project’s exclusion. It could be due to various reasons, such as failing to adhere to key steps outlined in the hackathon rules, discrepancies between the project’s description and its actual content, not meeting the required standards, or lacking a functional demo or an English demo video to showcase the project. Moreover, if your project was predominantly developed outside the HackaTRON S6 timeframe or lacked significant updates for the Builder track, it may not have met the criteria for selection. Please note that we have also taken community reporting feedback on the forum into account as part of the decision-making process.

However, there’s still an opportunity to demonstrate your project’s value to the community! We’re offering Bonus prizes as mentioned in the first post to projects that haven’t received any awards but hold significance for the community. Therefore, even if your project didn’t qualify for the community poll, you could still be eligible for one of these prizes by ensuring your project is fully functional on the mainnet before 2024-06-28T19:00:00Z, and has garnered positive feedback from the community.

FAQ

Q. Why can’t I vote?
A. If you’re unable to vote, it’s likely because you’re relatively new to the TRON DAO Forum. Engage with the community by reading and commenting on posts. Once your account shows sufficient activity, you’ll be automatically upgraded to the next rank (Trust Level 1), allowing you to vote.

Q. How many votes do I have?
A. You can cast up to 3 votes per track, totaling a maximum of 15 projects across the 5 tracks for HackaTRON S6.

Q. How can I see the results?
A. After voting, you can immediately view the results for the track you’ve voted on. All votes are public and transparent, enabling the community to verify the integrity of the voting process.

Q. Why aren’t some projects completed?
A. HackaTRON S6 operates on a milestone-based approach. Participants reaching this stage need only ensure they have a working demo and that their contracts are published to the testnet. Qualifiers will receive a portion of the Judges-selected Qualifiers prize pool and will receive the remainder after publishing their projects to the mainnet by 2024-06-28T19:00:00Z. This method allows the community to test projects and boosts conversions. Meanwhile, winners of the community polls will receive 100% of the community-selected winners’ prize pool to support further project development.

Q. Can contestants create multiple accounts to vote?
A. The forum system tracks each user account’s IP address and flags suspicious activities to admins. Contestants attempting to manipulate the system may face disqualification.

Q. Why don’t I see all participants on the forum poll?
A. The forum poll is filtered to include only eligible projects meeting the hackathon requirements. If your project isn’t listed, it may not have met the necessary criteria or made sufficient progress during HackaTRON S6.

Q. Is vote-buying/vote-exchanging allowed?
A. No. Contestants cannot incentivize or manipulate votes in any form, including cash, tokens, rewards, gifts, or exchanges. Contestants can offer bonuses or rewards for community members to test out their project only if they do not ask for a favor in return.

Q. What if I notice unethical practices by other teams?
A. If you observe vote-buying or other unethical practices, direct them to review the guidelines. The TRON DAO team reserves the right to remove spam, duplicates, or malicious votes and disqualify teams engaging in unethical practices to ensure fair community voting.

As one of the longest-standing and most trusted projects on Tron, their products can be utilized by all projects and Tron users.

Their business model makes a significant contribution to the Tron Ecosystem, resulting in increased usage and volume on Tron, which in turn attracts more projects to Tron and leads to more coin burn for TRX, ultimately driving up the price of $TRX. :chart_with_upwards_trend::up:

Therefore, I support the JustMoney gang and every project listed here or utilizes their tools.

Hello Thongfan, depending on the submission the reason might be different but reasons are well described in the description of the post. We encourage projects that didn’t make it to this phase to keep on working on your project as there are still prizes for you if you reach mainnet and your app properly integrated TRON :slight_smile:

Also, Season 7 is coming, you are welcome to participate as builder adding extra features!
