Previous hackathons projects got banned for simular reasons. There is always 1 or 2 trying to cheat the system.

Yes, in the past seasons a project has been banned for something similar. Currently in this season we have had some DQ from admins, but yours is the first during Community Voting. Maybe there are more to come, who knows.
