Help Us Choose Our Next Project for Season 7! šŸš€

Letā€™s Tron certification begins and reason why I stand with Tron certification is because TRON Certification can be a valuable asset for individuals looking to establish themselves as TRON blockchain professionals and enhance their career prospects in the blockchain industry.

Hey folks

Weā€™ve been pondering about MoT this past week and listening to feedback and think that the idea may be ā€œtoo utopianā€ to attempt for now. Its UBI service has a heavy reliance on sponsors to make this work and that puts it at too high of a risk of not getting anywhere. The actual usage of dapps on Tron is a testament to this. So we will attempt to implement a different idea called MintDeals for this season that has a potential business model and maybe better suited.

Weā€™ll still keep Tron certification on our radar as this also has a potential business model outside of the hackathon. If thereā€™s enough time for us to really attempt this, then we could make this a second submission. It will take some time to ideate and curate initial content+exam questions+build a simple dapp around it.

MoT and Tron certification and MintDeals, all would use a defi integration component (the key component of our submission) that relies on JustLend.

MintDeals is a decentralized platform where local businesses can create exclusive deals, manage clubs, and access a unique DeFi-powered credit facility to support their cash flow and operations. Members pay to join clubs and redeem deals, while partners can join multiple clubs for free and help expand their reach, earning commissions for onboarding local businesses and members. The platformā€™s credit facility enables businesses to unlock additional funding, ensuring they can offer attractive deals without compromising liquidity. MintDeals connects businesses, partners, and members in a transparent marketplace.

Does MintDeals appeal to you?
Will post this new idea as a submission under Season 7 topic shortly.

I am taking my time to read through everything that is here and I am almost done with it, thank you for sharing

I see that you already decided on your project for s7. I wonder if youā€™ll use your other project ideas soon cause they are promising ones too.

thanks! maybe season 8? weā€™ll seeā€¦ these project ideas are open to anyone that wants to adapt it and enter this season  - happy to share thoughts on them if anyoneā€™s also interested in building themā€¦ each one of them has a technical and/or adoption challenge to overcome, which could be an interesting journey.

The main reason I prefer Tron certification and sponsorship itā€™s because of it important to verify the legitimacy of the certification program and the sponsors involved.
Conducting due diligence on the organization offering the certification, as well as the sponsors supporting the program, will help ensure that it is a reputable and trustworthy opportunity.

We wanted to include support of the DID within our MintDeals submission but did not do so at the contract level. When I tried to mint the Mainnet DID token about 2 months ago, I was unable to. Seems its disabled on HTX for now . As thereā€™s been no new onchain mints of it in over 2 months - still under 6k holders. Due to this it made no sense for us to pursue this to be part for our project.

At the very least it could be added as a check on the frontend at some future point, assuming its possible to mint a DID onchain and still makes sense to integrate that later on.
