Project Goal:
Backup, recovery and inheritance of Crypto, Assets and Files (Estate planning: Will and Testament).

Heritage is a Backup, recovery and inheritance of Crypto, Assets and Files (Estate planning: Will and Testament).

Heritage provides a decentralized app that enables you to assign what happens to your Web3 assets(crypto, private keys, seed phrases, NFTs, digital arts e.t.c) in case of death.

Your Crypto assets or Important files are stored in secured vaults powered by Smart contracts on BTTC and Arweave, and are only released to beneficiaries that you chose and assigned to in each vault, making sure that your Crypto Assets/Files are not lost forever after your demise.

Heritage Smart Contracts are currently deployed to the BTTC Testnet.

All users are expected to interact with our platform via their BTTC wallets.

Project Test Instructions:

  • You will need 3 separate BTTC accounts to test
  1. Vault Owner/Creator
  2. Signatory
  3. Beneficiary

You will have to send us the account addresses to help you fund it with test HeritageTokens(You may reach out to Yinka @xcelsis02).

  • Click on “Create Vault” to create a Vault(only Custodial vaults work currently). Ensure you select a Signatory that you have access to their wallet. (You will be redirected to the vault page, please wait there for a while.)

  • After The Vault is Created, Switch your BTTC wallet to that of a “Signatory” .
    Refresh the page and Release the assets (make sure the 'Expiration time" has been reached before you do so)

  • Switch your BTTC wallet to the beneficiary’s address and claim your Assets (You can only claim BTT Coin for now) *Later, you will be able to claims USD, USDT, ETH, BSC, Tron etc

At the moment we have built an MVP which is a A decentralized app that enables secured back up, recovery and inheritance of Web3 assets(crypto, private keys, seed phrases, NFTs, digital arts e.t.c) with BTTC and Arweave.

Later
  • Integration of SDK that can let you deposit and withdraw stable coins like USDT or USDC from various chains into Heritage vaults
  • Integration of Defi Yield farming and Staking.
  • Will and Trust
  • Secure recovery of lost password, seed phrases, cryptos and important documents.

We designed Heritage dapp to accept one beneficiary as an MVP to suit the Tron S3 hackathon duration.
The design and functionality of our Heritage dapp can be extended to accept more numbers of beneficiaries. And also the same user can assign another of their wallet address as an alternative recovery account to his or her crytpo, NFTs, other tokens, documents etc.
