InterPool - The only Sport Prediction Game where everyone wins! - FIFA World Cup 2022

I have been trying to make my predictions but anytime i access the link through my metamask, the whole phone freezes and i have to restart the phone over and over. I have stopped for now but will try again later.

I want to know if there is something i am not doing right or the site is highly compatible when accessed through a laptop than a mobile phone.

Hoping to make my predictions before the window closes.

Hi @Nana66419, thanks for your comment, we are very happy to get our first feedback for our project. We have tested on mobile phone with metamask app and we cannot reproduce the issue. Do other apps work on your phone with metamask? Is it an IPhone? We have only tested on Android phone. We can recommend you to use your laptop to get a better user experience.
Thanks again! :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks alot, its an IPhone by the way. I am currently trying it out using my laptop. Will get to back when i finish. I think the problem is from the phone, not from the site.

Goerli Tesnet is working really slow at the moment, it would not be like that on the mainnet, unfortunately we need to go through security audit first

Can you DM us your adress, i’m going to send you some GöETH directly
Thanks

I have successfully submitted my predictions. Its a nice experience.

My only issue is the correct score approach.
Predicting
Home to win
Away to win
Or both to draw would have been quite easier.

But to predict the actual scoreline in the game, thats a work for the gods. Hahaha

I tried correct score once on “betway” and it was a disaster. I hope my predictions this time around will be ranked first.

Haha yeah that’s a lot of games to predict, but the World Cup is only once every 4 years! When we will set up regular weekly contests, that will be a lot less games in every contest!

Can’t wait to see where this goes! Hope we can work together one day

Thank you so much for your feedback @Nana66419 !

We considered not using the correct score approach, and finally change our mind. When there will be weekly contests in a near future, there will be a lot less matches (probably around 10 maximum). To avoid having to many ties scores we finally choose the correct score approach.
But yes you are right for the group phase, that is too many matches to predict, and many people might be afraid!

But it’s only once every 4 years
 haha

I have extracted below from our FAQ the details on how the scores are calculated.

How scores are calculated?

The scores of the game participants (predictors) are made based on two criteria:

  • Good match result prediction

If you predicted correctly the outcome of any actual matches (not scores) you will be credited of 1 point . Just predict the winner of the match, plus draw in group stages.

  • Good match score prediction

If you have made the correct score prediction, you will be credited of 2 additional points . By correct score, we mean you have predicted correctly score of team 1 and team 2.

Example:

  1. Good outcome + Good scores = 1 + 2 = 3 points

  2. Good outcome + Wrong scores = 1 + 0 = 1 point

  3. Wrong outcome = 0 point

Please i have another question.
The gas fees on the ETH testnet was quite alot.

So imagine paying 50USDC for a ticket and paying extra 45$ worth of ETH as gas.

After everything you win 30USDC, redeeming your 30USDC and your 50USDC ticket will give you a total of 80USDC, meaning u have lost 15$ in the process.

I dont know how the profit generated from the pool will try and makeup for the loss from the gas fees. Thank you

Thanks a lot @Bryan for your support! It’s really appreciated!
Did you by any chance submit any predictions? Any feedback or difficulties you ran into?
Cheers!

Thanks for highlighting this topic @Nana66419

You are right the transaction fees are really expensive on Ethereum, and the objective is not to have it exclusively on this network. The aim of Polygon, which is a side chain of Ethereum, is to provide a full compatibility with Ethereum and low transaction fees. All the EVM compatible dapp are deployed also on Polygon.
In a second phase, conversion to Tron is also a great opportunity, for the low transaction fees, and also for the high interest rates on the stablecoins USDD.

Also might want to let the choice to players to redeem the prize or use it for the next bet. Cause if you have to withdraw the prize you will have to pay again an additional $45 so now it’s a $60 loss
