Project Overview

Project Goal:
Bring Pizza Hut Paraguay’s loyalty and payment experience on-chain by deploying HutCoins on TRON and issuing rewards automatically. Every eligible purchase triggers a 5% HutCoins reward on-chain, and the TRON transaction hash is stored per order for reconciliation, reporting, and analytics.

In addition, we will integrate Hutty AI, our in-app AI agent, to increase redemption and retention by enabling:

  • Exclusive HutCoins redemptions for unique items and limited Pizza Hut merch (exclusive drops / special rewards).
  • 24/7 support for common customer needs (order status, incidents, refunds/cancellations, missing rewards, onboarding/help), with escalation to a human operator when required.

Unique Value Proposition:
This project turns real-world consumer commerce into repeatable, measurable on-chain activity on TRON. Pizza Hut Paraguay users already receive HutCoins rewards, and wallets are already being generated automatically in the backend for every Pizza Hut app user—removing onboarding friction and enabling mainstream adoption.

By adding Hutty AI as an AI-powered loyalty concierge, we strengthen the AI x TRON narrative with a practical, user-facing layer that drives higher redemption and repeat usage. TRON benefits from sustained transaction volume driven by everyday purchases, plus a repeatable “merchant template” for scaling similar loyalty/payment deployments across LATAM.

Technical & Governance Details

Project Test Instructions:

Use the Shasta transaction proof link above to verify on-chain activity.
In the staging/test flow, create or use an existing Pizza Hut app user (wallets are auto-generated in the backend per app user).
Execute a test purchase event through the ordering flow.
Confirm reward issuance logic: 5% HutCoins is issued for an eligible purchase event.
Confirm the system stores the TRON tx hash on the order record for reconciliation/reporting.
(Optional) Run a refund/cancellation test and validate the configured reversal behavior (if enabled).

AI Integration (Hutty AI Agent):
Hutty AI runs inside the app as a loyalty concierge. It helps users:

  • Discover and redeem HutCoins for exclusive rewards (unique items + limited Pizza Hut merch drops).
  • Resolve support issues 24/7 (order status, incidents, refunds/cancellations, missing rewards, onboarding), escalating to a human operator if needed.

This AI layer is designed to increase redemption rate and repeat usage while keeping the experience frictionless for mainstream users.

Technical Details:

Frontend: Web + Mobile user flows for ordering and loyalty visibility, plus Hutty AI chat/assistant entry points for redemption and support.
Backend: Services that process purchase events, compute reward amounts, and trigger on-chain issuance/transfer on TRON. Services also power Hutty AI redemption/support workflows.
DB: Stores user profile, order history, reward history, and the TRON tx hash linked to each eligible order; also stores redemption/support metadata as needed for auditing and analytics.
Wallet integration: Wallets are generated automatically on the backend for every Pizza Hut app user to reduce friction and enable mass onboarding.
Event pipeline: Order/payment confirmations produce events that feed the reward engine (purchase event → reward calculation → issuance job).
Issuance trigger: Eligible purchase event triggers the 5% HutCoins reward issuance on TRON; tx hash is persisted for audit/reconciliation.
Monitoring/logging: Transaction success/failure monitoring, retries, reconciliation dashboards/exports, and operational alerts for production stability.
Maintenance & operations: Ongoing mainnet ops, monitoring, and updates post-approval.

Smart Contract Links:

TRON Mainnet: Pending — we want to deploy to mainnet immediately once this is approved (will publish verified contract links upon deployment).

Nice! Finally something real

Would love this be active everywhere!

Quick update since the original post: we added an additional section requested by the Pizza Hut side to make the user experience more complete and improve redemption + support flows.

What we added: AI Integration (Hutty AI inside the app)

  • We will integrate Hutty AI, our in-app agent, as an AI-powered loyalty concierge for HutCoins users.
  • Exclusive redemptions: users will be able to redeem HutCoins for unique items and limited Pizza Hut merch (exclusive drops / special rewards).
  • 24/7 support: Hutty AI will handle common issues such as order status, incidents, refunds/cancellations, missing rewards, and onboarding/help, with escalation to a human operator when needed.

How it fits the on-chain system
This sits on top of the existing TRON reward pipeline (purchase → 5% HutCoins issuance on TRON → tx hash stored per order) and is designed to increase redemption and repeat usage while keeping the experience frictionless for mainstream users.

Happy to share more details on the UX flow and the KPIs we’ll track during the mainnet rollout.

Really like the idea of adding an AI concierge layer to reduce friction for mainstream users. One question: how do you see Hutty AI influencing redemption behavior over time? It seems like this could be a strong driver for repeat engagement if implemented well.

This sounds awesome. Well done :flexed_biceps::fire:

Great question. We see Hutty AI influencing redemption behavior over time in three very practical ways:

  1. Reducing “time-to-value” at the exact moment a user is ready to redeem
Most drop-off happens when users don’t know what they can get, how many HutCoins they need, or where to find it. Hutty AI will proactively guide users with simple, contextual prompts like:
  • “You have X HutCoins — you can redeem Y right now”
  • “You’re Z% away from the next reward”
  • “Limited merch drop is live — redeem before it sells out”
This shortens the path from “earned” → “redeemed”, which typically lifts redemption rate.
  1. Personalized nudges + streak-style progression
Over time Hutty AI can segment users by behavior (earners vs redeemers vs inactive) and adapt the messaging:
  • For frequent buyers: recommend higher-tier / limited rewards and bundles.
  • For casual buyers: highlight low-friction rewards that can be redeemed immediately.
  • For lapsed users: bring them back with time-bound offers (“redeem this week”).
We also plan to add simple progression mechanics (milestones, “next reward” tracking) so redemption becomes a repeat loop, not a one-off event.
  1. Removing support friction that kills repeat engagement
A major hidden driver of churn is unresolved issues: missing rewards, refunds/cancellations, confusion about eligibility, etc. Hutty AI will handle these quickly (and escalate to a human if needed), which protects trust and keeps users comfortable redeeming again.

How we’ll validate impact
We’ll track cohort-based KPIs across time (before/after Hutty AI rollout):

  • Redemption rate (overall + by cohort)
  • Time from reward issuance → redemption
  • Repeat redemption rate (2nd/3rd redemption)
  • Support deflection rate + issue resolution time
  • Drop-off points in the redemption funnel

The goal is to make redemption feel as simple as ordering: clear options, instant guidance, and fast resolution if anything goes wrong — which is what drives repeat behavior at scale.

Great point — we agree this can become a strong repeat-engagement loop if implemented well.

Over time, we expect Hutty AI to influence redemption behavior through three mechanisms:

  1. Contextual guidance at the moment of intent
Most redemption drop-off comes from uncertainty (“What can I get?”, “How many HutCoins do I need?”, “Where do I redeem?”). Hutty AI will surface clear, real-time options based on the user’s balance and eligibility:
  • “You have X HutCoins — you can redeem Y right now”
  • “You’re Z% away from the next tier”
  • “A limited merch drop is live — redeem before it ends”
This reduces friction and shortens time from earning → redeeming.
  1. Personalized progression + reminders
Hutty AI will adapt recommendations based on user behavior (frequent earners vs occasional users vs inactive) and nudge them toward the “next best redemption” with simple progression:
  • low-friction rewards to create the first redemption habit
  • tier upgrades and limited drops to encourage repeat redemptions
  • time-bound prompts when users are close to a threshold
  1. Trust and support that prevents churn
Missing rewards, refunds/cancellations, and general confusion are common churn drivers. Hutty AI handling these quickly (and escalating to a human when needed) keeps trust high, which directly impacts repeat redemptions.

How we’ll measure impact
We’ll track cohort KPIs pre/post rollout:

  • Redemption rate and repeat redemption rate (2nd/3rd redemption)
  • Time from HutCoins issuance → redemption
  • Conversion through the redemption funnel (view → redeem → complete)
  • Support deflection + resolution time for reward-related issues

Net-net: Hutty AI is meant to make redemption feel as effortless as ordering, while creating a “next reward” loop that naturally increases repeat usage.

Update: Current Flow (screenshots below)

Below is a concise overview of how the flow works today in our current staging/Shasta setup. We’ll attach screenshots at the end of this update to visually confirm each step.

1) User account + wallet (auto-generated)

  • User logs in / creates a Pizza Hut app account.
  • A TRON wallet is automatically generated in the backend and linked to the user profile (no manual wallet setup required).

2) Purchase event → reward calculation

  • User places an order through the Pizza Hut ordering flow.
  • Once the order/payment is confirmed, the backend emits a purchase event.
  • The reward engine calculates HutCoins (currently 5% on eligible purchases).

3) On-chain issuance on TRON (Shasta today)

  • Backend triggers the HutCoins issuance/transfer on TRON Shasta.
  • The transaction is executed and confirmed on-chain.

4) TRON tx hash stored per order (reconciliation + analytics)

  • The TRON transaction hash is stored in the order record.
  • This enables reconciliation, reporting, and auditability per order.

5) Loyalty visibility

  • Users can view HutCoins balance and reward history tied to their account/order history.

6) Refund / cancellation handling (when enabled)

  • If a refund/cancellation occurs, the system applies the configured reversal behavior (if enabled) and logs the status for reconciliation.

7) Hutty AI layer (being integrated)

  • On top of the on-chain rewards pipeline, we’re integrating Hutty AI inside the app to:
    • Guide users through redemption (“what can I redeem now / next tier progress”).
    • Provide 24/7 support (missing rewards, order status, incidents, refunds/cancellations, onboarding), escalating to a human when needed.
    • Drive repeat engagement via exclusive rewards (unique items + limited merch drops).

One of the hardest truths in crypto is that speculation scaled faster than utility. The market became very good at creating assets, but much worse at embedding those assets into ordinary consumer loops with repeatable reasons to return. A pizza loyalty program is not “small” in that context — it is actually closer to the type of high-frequency real-world use case the sector has been missing. Daily commerce is where retention is built. If blockchain wants to justify itself beyond trading, it has to appear in contexts like food, retail, transport, and recurring consumer habits, not only in token launches and financial primitives.

What stands out to me here is that this proposal addresses one of blockchain’s biggest failures over the last decade: most implementations asked users to change their behavior before delivering any real value. In practice, mainstream consumers do not want to learn wallets, seed phrases, gas logic, or token mechanics just to buy a pizza or receive a reward. This flow reverses that mistake. The value is delivered first through a familiar consumer action, and blockchain operates underneath as accounting and reward infrastructure. That is exactly how this technology becomes natural instead of forced. Thanks!

Yes, and people is alredy using without them to understand whats on the back

Hi DeLorean team, I’m curious to know about the txn count per day you are expecting once the project launches officially?

Do you have any strategy to reduce on-chain costs?

Hi Simba,

At a planning level, we are modeling the system from an initial base of 10,000 users in month 1, with a projected 20% month-over-month growth rate.

The important point in this assumption is that growth is being modeled as compound growth, not as a flat linear increase. In practice, that means each month builds on the previous month’s total user base, so adoption and transaction activity accelerate over time rather than growing at a constant pace. Under this model, the system would move from 10,000 users in the first month to roughly 74,000+ users by month 12, showing a clear expansion curve as the product gains traction.

This approach gives us a more realistic planning framework for launch and scale, because it reflects how usage tends to behave in successful consumer loyalty systems: early adoption starts at a manageable base, then volumes increase progressively as retention, recurring usage, and new user acquisition compound month after month.

On the cost side, our strategy to reduce TRX consumption is based on dynamic batch execution. Instead of writing every user interaction individually on-chain, we plan to aggregate activity and settle it through optimized batch structures. This allows us to significantly reduce the number of on-chain writes, improve network efficiency, and lower effective gas costs per user as transaction volume increases.

In other words, the higher the scale, the more important batching becomes. A dynamic batch model gives us flexibility to adjust execution according to activity volume, reward distribution cycles, redemption events, and operational demand, while still maintaining a clean, transparent, and auditable accounting structure.

By month 12, the model would imply roughly 2,400 to 2,500 transactions per day on average (based on ~74,301 monthly users, assuming approximately one transaction per user distributed across the month).

So the overall model combines two important principles:

  • compound monthly user growth, which creates a realistic scaling curve for adoption, and

  • dynamic batching strategies, which help reduce TRX costs as the ecosystem becomes more active.

We believe this is the right balance between scalability, cost efficiency, and operational transparency for a loyalty and rewards system built on TRON.

Thanks for sharing such a detailed explanation @bobfloyd

A lot of crypto products were built around the assumption that ownership mechanics themselves were enough to create engagement. They were not. Without service design, support, clear redemption logic, and smooth onboarding, ownership alone becomes friction. What I appreciate here is that the team seems to understand that a useful on-chain asset must sit inside a complete consumer journey. That is a much more mature thesis than “issue token and hope behavior follows.”
