Poll: Community vote rewards

Projects getting some funds after being judged by professionals to keep developing is pretty cool and even necessary cause it helps teams to keep building no matter their personal wealth and it attracts more builders to the Network.

My question is about the community vote. We’ve seen that it can bring both positive (community gathering, excitement, fun,…) and negative (vote sales, frauds, fights,…).

So here are some options to the question
What should we do with the Community Vote?

  • It’s good as it is, don’t touch anything!
  • Keep the money prize for the judges vote and offer alternative rewards for the community vote (e.g. accelerator, marketing, networking,…)
  • It’s bringing more toxicity than good, remove it!
  • No opinion :man_shrugging:
  • Other (see comments)
0 voters

The poll is public. Feel free to add more thoughts in the comments section.

Here is my suggestion on this lets increase the community prizes to include 20 winners instead of 10. This way more people would have a chance to win and since ai-generated comments can be identified fairly easily it would keep things fairer for everyone involved.

This poll is about the community prize received by the hackathon winners (projects).
The other poll is about contributor :+1:

Poll open until Nov 14, midnight UTC

I vote for alternative rewards but honestly I’m good with keep it as it is as well. I just think that alternative rewards might be more valuable than 3 to 7k.

For instance:

  • networking with VC’s, business angels,…
  • Fast track and FREE token listing on Polo and HTX (for top 1, and if filling realistic requirements, not $10M daily volume which is unrealistic)
  • Free marketing campaign with tier 1 KOLs

I agree with the first point. One of the main reasons many projects in the Tron ecosystem struggle to grow is the lack of marketing and networking. I say that only the top tiier projects, which consistently perform well and have community support, should qualify for crowdfunding or accelerator programs.
