Everybody saw what happened season after season. People who don’t know about web3 and not really willing to learn come to the forum, use ChatGPT to spam hackathon entries. It’s boring for everybody: Builders cause they have to answer to people who don’t really care, forum members cause we have thousands of BS posts to read, trondao team cause they have to check which users are genuinely asking questions and which are not.
So here are my questions:
If the contributor rewards are removed, will you keep coming during hackathon’s period to ask questions and support projects?

The poll is anonymous cause if public, everybody will say “I will keep coming but other people won’t, so we shouldn’t remove it”. Let’s be honest, $500 is a nice reward and motivates everybody to be a bit more active. But the question is, will you still be active if it’s removed or replaced by something else?

Actually the team will evaluate not only the activity but also the quality of the activity. So someone with less comments but nice tips or smart critics for builders have more chance than someone spamming “this projects is amazing!”
What I mean is, until the official results, nobody is sure to be in the list (except @Prince-Onscolo).
I would have skipped commenting on this and only vote but had to add this , it might sound somehow to the public but i have to say for people to learn too, everything should not be money at first it has to come with passion, @Prince-Onscolo can attest to this, I think the reason why we haven’t hit big is that we do more of charity works to some projects though it open doors to some paid opportunities too, but when some bucks are involved it’s just to boost your confidence and fuel your passion just like the contributors prize
then we will replace the whole Hackatron prizes with energy .
Hahahaha just kidding. One thing I know is, it is good to reward us for the good work done the only thing I don’t like is spamming with chatgpt questions and others. We are here to learn. I learn a lot from people here. I remember I used season 1 and 2 to learn from the likes of @fabsltsa and others. After the 3rd season or 4th, I encouraged @Nweke-nature1.com to try and stay more active and contribute.

Internet data is very expensive especially in Ghana here, no wifi for us like they say they have some in other countries so please let them increase the prize for us .

Your heart’s in the right place, anyone could tell how frustrating and time consuming it is to sort through irrelevant comments but at the same time those measures you’re vying for will definitely affect those who genuinely put in their all to the community
Yes, passion is everything but we can all agree it burns brighter when there’s extra motivation (which in this case is the money) once there’s a solid solution to the spamming problem and a surefire means of reducing fake accounts, I believe we’ll be one step closer to making this space a better place

I assume some don’t want to publicly admit they’ll stop participating if the rewards are removed and others don’t want to get roasted if they publicly say they’ll keep participating no matter what.

im so new so I didnt even know about rewards. I honestly just wanted to be here to support the projects that I know that have submitted to the hackathon because I have learned so much from them and consider them friends. I do love rewards and i think it is important to reward your community. But I also want to support all the great people who deserve it
Wow this is nice, with all sincerity without the price I will still be active and contribute to the platform, the price tag is not why am active on the platform but the people in the forum how knowledge is been shared among, where one is faulty you are been corrected by those ahead of you and also the exposure and fun trigger me.
