Security awareness

Hello fam, sorry I have not been posting about security nowadays. Yesterday something happened to one Nigerian friend living in Ghana. He lost $12k to scammers.

As I always say, these guys do not sleep. They are always looking for people to scam. Day in and day out I received dms from them but because of my past experience, I am able to fish the bad ones out.

If you receive random dms offering you job opportunities please be very careful especially when they want to send you files, forms and links. These carry virus and the moment you open these files or install them, they get access to your wallet.

My friend told me, he was asked to fill some forms and some request pop up and he mistakenly confirmed it. That’s all.

Similar thing happened to my brother a month or two ago.

Please as we are always working to earn some bucks, let’s also protect the little we have. Avoid links, files and forms from strangers. Now they are all verified so if you don’t take care you will fall of it.

Happy new month
Stay safe

Happy new month.
The simplest most efficient way to identify and prevent from scams is avoid clicking on unwarranted links and running every link on Google search by copying and pasting on Google search box, it’s amazing what SEO does.

I am feeling sorry for your friend as a business person, I really know how it feels like to be losing that much money, it is very much better to be always safe instead of to be sorry, thank you

Happy New month to all my intelligent And educative Trondao

If One receive any strange requests or offers, take the time to thoroughly research the company and verify their legitimacy. Don’t be afraid to ask for more information or seek advice from someone you trust.
It’s better to be safe than sorry when it comes to protecting your hard-earned money.
Stay vigilant and stay safe online.
Thank you.

It’s a pity ,… it’s pure better loosing from a trade than loosing from this deadly scammers,… their charm almost caught me last year in the process of trying to solve an issue but i was lucky and a little bit smart , that is what saved me on that faithful day,
Please everyone should be careful out there, the honest truth is that most of them use charm(juju :joy: that is why they will speak to you and you can never think the other way round, until they are done sucking you,… please stay safe and alert always

it’s becoming daily activity, sorry for him. I hope he will share his experience with friends to save them from these bad guys.

@Nweke-nature1.com you said juju, hahaha no. If you are eager to get offers and have good heart helping people to test their projects, you are likely to be in this situation. Stay more vigilant. And also Airdrops, many scams come from there

I was almost scammed by a fake company years ago but it was them talking about initial office payments. I guess now they are just utilizing keyloggers in files now.

Got to have a separate work computer now.

highly advanced now :joy:I can say they learn more than security expertise. I remember just recently one new project sent me an offer, I had to ask @fabsltsa and @HunterTRON to confirm whether they are legit or not
