It may be the most creative and regular video ever made on the forum, I watched the videos of nearly 20 projects today. I did not come across one that was prepared in such a beautiful order as you. One of the most important elements in bringing our project forward is definitely video.

Just because of your quality, I changed my votes and voted for you. Good luck to you.

Thank you everyone who decided to support us at Sorrel! Let’s see where we can take this thing together!

We’ll be getting things in place to get Sorrel deployed on mainnet within a few weeks for the Jun 1 deadline. There are some interesting integration ideas we have in mind for when we get to growing the Shared Resource Network.

In the mean time, please have a look at our crowd-fundable addons page as we’re curious to know what you would be excited about to see, open to supporting next, any questions about them, any other ideas we can triage into new modular addons?

(web3 browser/extension is not required to view Addons page)

Thanks!

I see how this builds on transfer payments. But I don’t see what is the value of this extra app and banking on top of what is already available.

Can you expand further or specifically on what you mean by, on top of what is already available - ? It could help us understand how best to express our answers within a context that can provide clarification and shed light on Sorrel’s value.

For instance, there’s some value in the Shared Resource Network and Shared Credit Facility. Please see extended Deck with the SRN: Sorrel Banq Extended - Google Slides
and the first mentioning about a shared facility which evolved into Sorrel + SRN goStables Improvement Proposal - gSIP-01 Draft · Issue #1 · gostables/smart-contracts · GitHub

Imagine there’s eventually multiple Sorrel contracts deployed (its opensource), so then there’s Sorrel, Hibiscus, Mango, Grape, Sunshine et al x each with their own determined EF stablecoin txn basis point fees and their own addedvalues, maybe their own deposit/withdraw buttons in future. When interconnected, this could facilitate automated settlements and resource scheduling between N SRNs in their localised contexts which optimizes cost efficiency, savings and reduces friction for all. SRN + defi payment scheduling opens up efficient ways to streamline transfers, recurring payments when combined with the resource model of Tron. This could be more sustainable than GSNs on EVMs (a value point we would like to measure, determine with usage)

A sustainable SRN fuels the Shared Credit Facility of stablecoins to supply 0 to low interest lending to sorrel members as usage grows. This would operate like an onchain credit line and loan facility with the Wallet Card being an access point to it in the real world.

I think the simple value is within this question, what can we+anyone co-build with this if there’s resources supporting it?

Sometimes the value can be perceived from a different context. For instance, Here’s some example ideas that could be done with this…

  • A mid to large TRX holder ($350k+) can simply stake to support Sorrel or “run their own banq” and charge/earn stablecoins they support for their members by staking that TRX. Few to, low TRX burn, stablecoins are earned, smoother transfers + lower fees are possible.

  • microbanqs - Smaller TRX holders can stake towards others or create their own custom banqs with payment automations, bridge services etc.

  • Energy rental dapps teams could use this as a connector to reward their energy providers in stablecoins.

Since we’ve abstracted the need for early blockchain adopters to have TRX just to send and convert stablecoins, we or anyone could abstract this from deposit and withdraw via custom routes in the future. eg “Withdraw to Western Union”

Gracias

In general we already have the ability to transfer tokens and to create pools of tokens. Everything works non-custodially and addresses can be represented as QR codes.

WU was one example… it would be ideal to have other options support through p2p merchants, so there can be a variety local ramp options by country within the dapp (it should not be limited to what is in the screenshot)

While this is the mockup demo page (we showed similar before but since hid from the menu for simplicity for hackathon). the idea is that an even simpler UX could have these withdraw options iright on the withdraw button nstead of the standalone a bridge page in the future -

Esto sería perfecto, buscar siempre alternativas dónde un tercero quede fuera.

Yea you’re right, In the current state it works simplest as a stablecoin transfer dapp, there’s sense in what it does with just that. We chose to use the banq context as part of the branding as a way to connect with and onboard non crypto people and with the way we’ve packaged Sorrel so far, it can serve as a novel vehicle for us to craft quality and memorable experiences for those that use it. Since large generation of non crypto people understand the value and roles of a bank in the traditional sense not just in finance… then what can we use within this to create evolving added value within the framework space of Sorrel ,a “banq, reimagined” -

cute corny ad - Our value grows with you because of who we are and what we do together at Sorrel

Hey all!

We have deployed Sorrel to Mainnet. You can see some transactions we have done on Tronscan:

BankDepository: TNYsTzEyH5Jr2BuagKhfTCTjeaLRaRu1Av

TransferComptroller: TXiA4QfUEuJ8tYr8ZaM3jHJ6odijNnJoZw

ConvertComptroller: TAcuSa6AnWqc74PpowBqUaaJN4ZSo6WXHM

Dapp UI: Sorrel Mainnet

Basis Point Fees charged in the stablecoin being used, have been set on the following actions/functions:

Convert - 20 (0.2%)
ConvertGL - 50 (0.5%)
TransferGL - 20 (0.2%)

Feel free to use Vaults to delegate to Shared Resources as there currently isn’t enough to cover Energy Free transactions.

Having deployed to Mainnet by/before June 1, we have now completed the final requirement of this hackathon.

Thank you for your support!

:vulcan_salute:

Future improvements-

  • Reducing friction in accessibility and adoption of Sorrel via account abstration
  • Fee Free transfers

Feel free to join the community on Paracosm Labs
