Project Goal:
Trade Signal aims to simplify decentralized finance (DeFi) and make it more accessible to a broader audience. Our primary goal is to introduce the masses to the fundamental concepts of DeFi through an engaging, gamified platform. Users can predict the price movements of various crypto assets and earn rewards, fostering a deeper understanding of the mechanics of crypto trading and DeFi without financial risk. By providing a smooth onboarding process, we aim to build confidence and familiarity with key DeFi functionalities, gradually progressing to more advanced trading features.

By building on the BTTC network, we ensure low fees and fast transactions, making it easier for newcomers to participate without heavy financial burdens. The decentralized nature of the platform ensures that all predictions, outcomes, and rewards are verifiable, creating a fair and trustless environment. Additionally, users can engage with DeFi and learn about wallet connections, making on-chain transactions, and interacting with decentralized protocols in a fun, risk-free way.

Project Test Instructions:
To help the judges and community explore Trade Signal, here are the step-by-step instructions:

  1. Access the platform: Visit our website or use our dApp link. and use a BTTC-compatible wallet (e.g., Metamask) to connect
  2. Make a prediction: Choose from hourly, daily, or weekly predictions for any asset.
    • You’ll have 3 options: Above X price, Between X and Y price, or Below Y price.
  3. Submit your prediction: Use SIGNAL tokens to place your prediction.
  4. Check the result: After the period ends, check if your prediction was correct.
  5. Claim rewards: If your prediction is correct, the total SIGNAL staked in the Trade is distributed proportionally among the winners.

This step-by-step process helps users understand the simple mechanics of DeFi without requiring significant investments.

Project Milestones:
We are dedicated to providing a functional and evolving platform throughout the hackathon period. Below is a brief timeline of our milestones:

  • MVP Development Phase (Sept 05 - Oct 09) :
    • Launch of prediction feature with hourly, daily, and weekly options for major crypto assets.
    • Deploy smart contracts on BTT Testnet for predictions.
    • Integration of basic analytics to track prediction performance
    • Refinement of user experience and UI/UX design
    • Launch website for MVP release
  • Beta Testing (Oct 11 - Nov 05)
    • Incorporation of feedback from early testers to improve the prediction mechanism and user interface.
    • Acquire more users and test the platform’s capabilities.
    • Deploy smart contracts on BTT Mainnet as beta testing completes.
  • Future plans ( Nov 06 - Beyond)
    • Plan to develop in gas-free transaction experience for end users to make the process more simplified.
    • Scope out the development of more sophisticated features like copy trading, and trading terminal on the basis of community feedback.

Please tell me how rewards will be distributed among the users?

Will it be in form of tokens or NFTs?

What is the process for claiming them or is it automatically sent to user’s wallet?

Hello @Okorie thanks for checking out our project.
For engaging the community and growing it at the same time, we have introduced mechanisms like referral rewards, rewards for tweeting about us, reward for joining our telegram community etc.

For fairplay, the platform sources data from multiple sources out there to ensure that the predictions are settled on the basis of correct price only

@manfred_jr thanks for taking time to check our project. Tradingview is completely different from what we are trying to build and what are vision is for this project.

We are currently allowing users to predict the price range for their favourite crypto assets in fixed timeframes of 1 hour, 1 day and 1 week. On the basis of their predictions, we are rewarding them. This gamified experience allows us to onboard normie users to web3 and gradually nudge them to use different blockchain based trading stuff

@Chukseucharia we are glad that you liked the idea. Currently we have introduced an in-game reward token SIGNAL, which can be claimed for various tasks like joining twitter, telegram or inviting friends or making correct price predictions.

You can keep claiming the SignalCoin, which will be gradually redeemable for Signal Token, that we will be launching after acquiring some users. We don’t want to launch our token from day 1 because that would bring a lot of fake users just to farm tokens rather than actually using our platform.
Once we onboard our users organically, we will launch token reward for them

@JOHNY we keep rewarding users for making the correct price range predictions for their favourite crypto assets. So to keep earning more rewards, they will try to make more and more predictions, thus getting hooked to our platform in a cycle

Hello @Nweke-nature1.com I understand your concerns

But it is due to the volatile nature of the crypto that these hourly predictions makes sense, otherwise the predictions would have been very easy to begin with.
Also we are getting data from multiple sources to make sure that the data is not tampered. We then use AI models to decide the range for options based on the past movement of the asset.

Even when you launch your token at a later stage, I don’t think it will stop the fake users from farming token. What you need is a proper implementation of a security strategy that will prevent fake users from using your platform to farm token rather than unique engagement.

That one aside, when you finally launch your token, will users have to perform any action to claim their rewards or will it be automatically sent to them?

@aziztron Thanks for checking out our project. Please go to My Bids section and check in the ended section, you will see all your previous bids that have been completed.
For any correct predictions, your balance gets updated every hour as new bids get their result out.
