I’m new to Tron. But I’ve participated in blockchain hackathons.
I find it strange that already established projects (that had started working on months ago) are participating in the hackathons.
Those projects will have much better UI, well-thought-out content (video, presentation), and better implementation - given those teams have been working on them for months prior.
This is a bit unfair to people like me who are new and building the whole project in the hackathon timeframe.
Thoughts @admin.hackathon ?

Thanks for voicing up, your question makes sense.
However, TRON Grand Hackathon is not just about bringing the potential from a completely new project, but we also empower existing project that has the potential to grow further.
Therefore, when users submit their projects to the Devpost platform, they will have to declare if their project is:
- completely new and built on the hackathon period
- newly built this year and has not joined any other hackathon
- an update/extension of an existing project
The judges will be able to see the response and each judge will have their own say on how they treat new/existing projects. The final result a project will get will be a combined score from all the judges.
Therefore, if you are building a completely new project, you may also state it in your project description to show the judges how you are able to build a great project in a given timeframe. You may use the fact that you are building a completely new project to your advantage. When you are ready to join, please make sure to send us your Devpost username. Looking forward to seeing your project!
