Bro. I’m acquiring a meter for my place and I’m going through a lot. They intentionally create some fake beurocracy that will frustrate you thereby forcing you to involve middle men.

Because the current system is not too transpent , it sometimes end up with consumers having confrontations with the officials on bills.

The most corrupt agency in Ghana is ECG, you will only know this when u need their services. If you don’t involve middle men and you try to follow the normal process, they will frustrate you till you cry.

I am planning to move to renewable energy, solar to be precise, though expensive but that is the only way forward now, and with this initiative from tronpower, i can atleast sell some of my excess power for some small noko fio.

Hi @peterbamz, @prince-onscolo, @adamike @kaarasamuel9, @nana66419, @sergeantsogzy
Sorry for not being active in the last 24hrs, I’ve been working on the circuit for the smart meter and trying to determine the best protocol to use.

I want to thank you for making Tron power submission active while I was away I really thank you❤️

I will be answering all questions to the best of my ability from now on.

Heyy @prince-onscolo
I want to appreciate you for what you’re doing in Ghana for less privileged using crypto❤️
Yes am in Ghana
Yes there are few smart meter in Ghana that would help our build and this is what I was working on in the last 24hrs.
I plan on building the meter for the demo version but in IRL we will make use of meter that supports MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport)

This would be very helpful because it’s helps transmits data in the worst internet conditions, I feel this will help in rural areas that are not well developed.

Thank you for this question it really helped me think and re-strategized my approach on the SMS(smart meter system)

I hope you understand why I can’t build the meter for real life version as there are lot of licensing, and work to be done building multiple meters and getting them approved.
We can easily partner with companies that have such meters in place.

Hello @Adamike please specific configuration in what terms exactly?

Okay I was referring to connectivity or how it would connect to the platform

Thank you for the clarification the smart meters we plan to work with would integrate wifi connectivity in order to communicate with the platform.
Using MQTT, mosquitto, wifi connectivity the meter would be able to communicate with the smart contract.

Yes moving to renewable energy is the best.
Please DM me if you need help with the right plugs for installation of your solar panels and inverters.

This project has real life prospect, am really looking forward to it. Wishing you the best.

First of all thanks for your compliment.
We are using our influence to help Ghana in any little way we can.

I am glad you are working towards a project that will solve many problems in Ghana. And you are on the grounds so you know the problems and you are providing better solutions to them. Especially with the MQTT. Even those of us in the urban areas sometimes you faced these network challenges. You have my maximum support
Keep building

We know our people :joy::joy: they will never give you license. I need an approval to sell prepaid units, I applied for it in 2021 because one of them owns one around my area I haven’t gotten reply :joy:
