Alright, have you joined the Tron Hackathon before?
Do you have a resident card in USA or just a student visa? I assume that if you win and they see you are Nigerian they’ll ask you for a resident card. Also is your residence Nigeria on Huobi?

The question here we have to ask ourself is, does living on a student visa makes you a resident of a country??
If the answer is YES then you qualify to compete but if the answer is NO then be advised accordingly.

Of course it depends on the country, but no country that I know of provides a permanent residence permit and passport (equivalent to being a resident) while a person is a student. In order to get a residence permit, it is necessary to either work for a while after the student’s education, or get married, etc. Most likely, the competition will also result in a negative result, taking this into account. Let’s hear from the admins though. maybe the exception.

By residing in the USA, you can participate in the HackaTRON. What is disqualified from participation in the hackathon is location, not human. Being in the USA, you abide by the regulations of the US rules and that makes you eligible for the HackaTRON.

Exactly, the definition of resident (in this case temporary resident) differs from country to country.

Yh per the definitions given, there is a loophole @xcitydev can capitalize on and make his submission.
This is why it is very important to make statements that are not ambiguous. Cos ambiguity leads to a whole lot of confusion and several school of thoughts.
The @admin.hackathon now has to come clear so that we all get the clarification needed to move on.
