Individuals who are residents of, or Organizations domiciled in, a country, state, province, or territory where the laws of the United States or local law prohibits participating in or receiving a prize in the Hackathon (including, but not limited to, Brazil, Quebec, Crimea, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Nigeria, and any other country designated by the United States Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control)
Residents from Brazil, Crimea, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Quebec and Nigeria are not eligible to participate in the hackathon.

@admin.hackathon how about a new project disqualified from the prejudice of a previous project from another hackathon… Skillpay was new but was disqualified because of digemart and dbanta…

I guess its because as you just mentioned laws of the United States or local law maybe in Nigeria? prohibits participating in or receiving a prize in the Hackathon
Dont forget Tron is now legal tender so needs to obey these local laws

I don’t think there’s any law against such in Nigeria. Don’t know about the US.
I do see such too in different places including dev post, but Nigeria is not inclusive. Skeptical why Nigeria is inclusive this time

Wow wow wow!!
Had a great read in this season’s hackathon and i am super excited on what is coming to the tron community from this hackathon. I like the idea of introducing the builders track as that will encourage previous hackathon winners to keep building on their project. And the determination prize is another important addition that will encourage projects that doesn’t make the pre-selection stage to keep building in both their project and tron ecosystem. Well done Tron DAO team for all this development in the hackathon. I am looking forward to seeing the great impact this will bring in the tron ecosystem.

There is no such law prohibiting Nigerians from participating in hackathons, none I am aware of and this has not been since season 1, 2, 3 … why now?

personally I would like to know more too @admin.hackathon especially Nigeria. Most projects that were disqualified from S3 were from Nigerian Founders. More copy and paste projects.But I do not know if that’s the reason.
Also is your government still fighting against crypto? that may also be a reason. Tron do not want to break any rule

I don’t think it has to do with the previous season. Might event not be tron hackathon’s rule but Dorahacks I don’t know. Let’s wait for more info
