AWPSWAP by Team AWPSWAP - Counter Strike 2 community & trading platform

Any time you miss me just mention me :slightly_smiling_face: like this @maaz

The law firm would research address the precise legal considerations as we continue to scale a virtual item marketplace, specifically with KYC & exchanging items as a money service business. We are currently consulting with the same law firm who works alongside for receive.me. Our team is based in Europe & Canada, so we can consider options in Europe for compliance in regards to our regions.

You can add our awpswap.io Steam Profile here, our discord here, and more links are updated & available on receive.me/awpswap. Our player leaderboards of active players playing for the CS2 servers is currently in development.

Hehehehe i hear you boss

Okay, if I get it correct, you’re merging both bobbytrade and trxmini to bring out this current project?
I think that’s nice but after these successful migration, what will happen to the bobbytrade and trxmini platforms/sites. A total closure I believe?

I really like the questions that was put up by @MorganWa. Seriously, this hackathon is no longer serving its purpose. It’s so bad to see developers that won big prizes in previous hackathons coming back to the hackathon with utilising the money that they won in developing their project. $49k is quite a huge amount of money in this case yet the developer can’t boost of 1 out of every 20 Tronics being aware of both the bobbytrade and trxmini projects. The big question now is where was the prize channelled to?
This is a question that requires a holistic response if the developer want to exonerate himself from bad practising.
Not this project alone, but a lot of projects who has participated in previous hackathons.
It’s time we start doing something as a community in putting a stop to this practices by not giving any of these past winners our votes. The judges are equally needed on this too.
Let’s us come together to change the ideology

No. We still have plans to update bobbybot.trade & trxmini.games - the minigame features as soon as possible. AWPSwap is the successor for the promised eSports & existing game presence within CS2.

We understand your concern, and we still have a significant amount of funding for trxmini.games & bobbybot.trade which will be utilized for the development & marketing of those respective projects. We have worked full-time on these projects for the entirety of 2023 and now 2024. Even if we lose, AWPSwap and our projects are intending to move forward with our existing accolades. We have the decision to prioritize short-term:

  • updating trxmini.games (Add more mini-games), bobbybot.trade (New UI, marketing) & AWPSwap with time

or

  • focus on the development of AWPSwap for the duration of the hackathon

trxmini.games-v2 repository is receiving commits still, and we’re actively consulting with other game developers to launch other mini-games ASAP.

Receive.me is going to continue to receive updates, seperate from the trxmini.games x bobbybot.trade x awpswap.io updates, as we have partners who work seperately on that platform, as we are deploying our organization profile feature as per demonstrated with receive.me/awpswap.

Thank you for your well detailed and really elaborate reply to me.
It’s encouraging to hear that AWPSwap is prioritizing Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance and evaluating regulatory requirements for operating a money service business, this proactive strategy will build trust and confidence in both users and regulatory agencies.
This brings to mind one question;

How does AWPSwap plan to navigate potential differences in regulatory requirements between Europe and Canada, and ensure consistent compliance across all regions of operation?

@TridentFounder it is really bad that you did not answer my question

Greetings,

I apologise for not answering earlier, yes we do have support for multiple players playing at once - up to 32 players which is maximum amount of people on CS2 server, and we have 4 of them so 4x32.

Sincerely,
Trident

Thank you for giving insights into what the future developments will be for the entire projects. It’s really so encouraging to know that you’re determined in moving these projects forward. At the course of building this ecosystem, have you identified any potential challenges or obstacles in implementing AWPSwap as the successor platform for eSports and existing game presence within CS2? If so, how do you plan to address them?

And just as @Gordian has been asking, is there any channel where your active users engage each other because a project like this, with all these accolades and ideas should have an active social media accounts where it will be informing her community on current and future updates

@TridentFounder I get how overwhelming the questions/inquiries could be, at your own convenience which should be sooner than later, do attend to my question, thank you.

I think a significant obstacle is how we can differentiate our platform where other platforms aren’t. The marketshare within CS2 is dominated by multiple competitors, so finding a niche or service that we can leverage to empower TRON & Steam community is a must. We decided with the addition of what trxmini.games was foreshadowing, support for existing games and empowering eSports communities, could be a valuable direction to differentiate our brand, so we’ve added multiple game-servers for players to game on. We have recorded stats for users like their kills & headshots, surf runs, etc. and we’re currently developing a leaderboard page for our players stats. We are also hoping to also create support for P2P trading as well in the future.

And just as @Gordian has been asking, is there any channel where your active users engage each other because a project like this, with all these accolades and ideas should have an active social media accounts where it will be informing her community on current and future updates

We’ve linked already, but

Steam Profile

Steam Group (Coming Soon)

These links may be updated in the future, but all updated socials & links are available at receive.me/awpswap

Greetings,
there are many questions posted here so im doing my best to answer them all. Regarding your question above: Several European countries may have specific regulations or interpretations that differ from standard EU laws regarding digital items and skin trading, particularly in the realm of online gaming and virtual goods.

The legal environment can change quickly impacted by court rulings, government regulations and shifts, in sentiment. It’s crucial to remain informed about the laws and perspectives in countries, for individuals engaged in digital asset trading or online gaming enterprises - Steam disables trading by itself if a certain country by law does not allow trading digital items as they first have to comply with it, and then as a second measure we could disable such countries from accessing our website IF THEY exist at all.

It seems like there are no issues with laws in all countries except those that banned trading on CS2 due to lootboxes which are not affiliated with trading skins as trading websites are not based on luck anyways , and does not conflict with our project. Even if certain countries do not allow trading due to lootboxes, our service is automaticly blocked by Steam & such countries and we would not be avoiding these restrictions at all. However more research & consulting is needed before final conclusion. We are looking to comply with all laws and steam terms of service.

When it comes to Canadian law, there are also no roadblocks.Similar to other jurisdictions, Canada has laws regulating gambling activities. While the legal status of loot boxes and virtual item trading platforms hasn’t been explicitly addressed in Canadian gambling laws, activities resembling gambling may fall under scrutiny if they involve real-money transactions, chance-based mechanics, and the potential for significant profit or loss - which our project does not promote.

Canadian law related to digital items is based upon 4 main points: Consumer Protection,Gambling Laws,Intellectual property and Taxation. We do not infringe any of these points.

Our current priority is focusing on user retention, building our community marketing efforts in these regions, and developing our products for commercial success rather than regulatory overhead, as we believe our services are low risk for legal discrimination.

Sincerely,
Trident

Absolutely, standing out in a crowded market is crucial. It’s great to see you’re focusing on empowering existing gaming communities and leveraging the TRON & Steam platforms. I can say that your initiative to offer game servers and record user stats is a solid step towards creating a unique experience. Then, have you considered incorporating any specific features or incentives to encourage more community engagement and foster a sense of belonging among players?

Greetings,

We planned to add many things. Considering this is just the beginning, I would expect many more things to come in the future, other than the ideas we have right now. Our strongest community center currently is Discord, where we plan to collect users from both the website, Steam group, and community servers. We plan to create a channel in Discord where people can post and showcase their unique items to the rest of the community. Additionally, we plan to host our own tournaments on servers where people could earn on-site balance. If they are sellers, they can get priority listings, making their listings appear on top of the site, etc.

Another idea we had was adding reaction roles so users can get their own roles according to their profile, game style, favorite guns, etc. We also aim to have a leaderboard that gets posted into Discord as an announcement when the Top 10 on the server changes, among other features. We are still considering the best approaches, but we have many options to implement to focus on the community and contribute to it.

Sincerely,
Trident

Please I dont understand this, which project have you rebranded to this?

Combining the successes of bobbybot.trade and trxmini.games into a successor project is an exciting prospect to undertake and adding an instant swapping for virtual items and the creation of a community for Counter Strike 2 (CS2) items offer unique opportunities for engagement. Can you explain to me how the project plans to onboard active players from Steam-based communities to TRON and vice versa?

Thanks for replying, tbh I wish all responses in the forum by founders was as detailed as yours, the world would’ve been so much of a better place. Now moving forward, the resolve to comply with Steam’s restrictions in areas where loot box trade is forbidden displays a proactive approach to legal compliance and responsible platform operation.

How does AWPSwap plan to stay updated on changes in regulations and legal perspectives across different countries?

Greetings,

I’m striving to provide as much detail as possible, as our vision for the project is both ambitious and achievable. Moving forward, we will need to collaborate with legal teams and advisors, as well as manage regular compliance audits.

Regarding Steam - they initially need to ensure compliance of their own platform with the laws in the regions they operate in. This may involve actions such as disabling lootboxes (which are unrelated to our project) in regions where they are prohibited, and disabling trading where it is not allowed. Consequently, Steam’s compliance measures will directly impact our platform, as we automatically cannot facilitate trading in regions where Steam has already implemented compliance adjustments.

Sincerely,
Trident
