It’s not really about winning or losing. But about fun and being inclusive. Anyways, what is done is done. I just wanted to share my opinion.
The best improvements made with the hackathon over the seasons was those discussed publicly in advance. Here it’s something imposed arbitrarily at the last second. It’s disappointing.
Yes it has been posted in CCC group, claimfree, Justmoney and those I know. So I take it as it has been posted in all the communities I know. I will keep sharing where I see they haven’t posted but they have a project in here
For a moment, I thought @admin.hackathon will publish the poll next day since I was waiting at 6pm. It is great to see that many project have been accepted. It’d be a perfect week for everyone.
I personally loved that new idea. It is way better to prevent bot activites in that way.
I had a chance to review almost all projects on forum, if there is anything missing among those who have been selected, gonna review them too tomorrow.
What I can say as last is: Good luck everyone here, have fun this week You deserved it
I forgot to wish disqualified projects a better luck next time. Don’t worry we have some additional prizes for you, keep building and aim for some prizes. All the best
Can an admin explain to us why we were left out of voting for integration track? We have integrated a lot of TRON into our project and have been left out of voting @SimbadMarino even got in our thread and we responded to his post of stuff we have integrated. He couldn’t even take the time to respond back once we explained all that has been integrated and now we have been left out?
It’s finally time for the community to contribute in shaping the future of Tron ecosystem and I am happy like always, to be part of this phase. I encourage every community member to make good use of their votes. To bring out the best in anything, you must first have the capacity to deal with your emotions. I know we all have project’s we love so much and are part of whether directly or indirectly but before you vote for that project, ask yourself if what they brought to the HackaTron have the capability of addressing any real issue faced by the community and let your answer guide you through voting.
Let’s help create a better Tron ecosystem together
Hello team, the reason for this is : lack of blockchain integration or lack of a clear way to test the project. I’m attaching part of the rules where this is stated:
During the preselection period the admin team went over all projects and tested to confirm that at least a basic blockchain interaction is found in projects, we can’t always come back to check further on particular projects, that is why we strongly suggest teams to make sure their projects are fully live on testnet and the proper credentials are provided to properly test their projects.
Community wise it is also expected you provide some sort of login capabilities if your platform is private.
We do see value on your core use case about using blockchain for insurance and hope the explanation clarifies the reason behind this decision and we hope to see you on our next hackaTRON
Regarding the change made in voting system, I must say that it have both good and bad effects, but coming from a country that practices similar voting system, I can say that the decision is not the best option to curb last minute rush in voting. Even when the votes are made public, the community has played an important role in reporting any project suspected to be involved in bot/vote-buying. Nothing would’ve being different this season, but keeping the votes hidden undermine the principle of transparency on which this hackaTron was established on. I believe it’s best for both team and forum members to be giving the privilege of knowing who voted and which project gets voted for, to prevent unnecessary claims after voting exercise.
Having personally interacted with each and everyone of this projects, it’s really hard to make a pick but rules are rules. And also, I dunno whose idea it was to privatize the vote count but that’s the best for the voting process to curb shady theatrics.
