Is the hackathon a fair contest?

You’re kinda right
It’s difficult for new projects to beat old projects, most especially if they’ve competed here before

Exactly. And as I’ve said on an other topic, new projects are more than welcome to reach older projects to start collaborations or ask for help/advices. That way they will be able to grow their own community and gain visibility. This is all about being together and growing together.
Dividing community projects doesn’t make sense, it doesn’t bring anything good.

in fact, new projects can beat old ones. among the old projects there are few worthy ones. and worthy candidates can be noted among the new ones. If only the judges were fair.

One thing which the “new projects” should consider is that in order to be a successful addition to the TRON ecosystem, it is crucial to engage with the community.

Reach out through Twitter and Telegram. There are community driven Telegram groups where you can easily get in touch with active Tron users and engage. Two examples are: Telegram: Contact @TronicsUnited and Wall Street. Get in talk around make yourself known and get inputs from the community

If you participate in this Hackathon and have received less then 5 votes so far, it needs to be an eye opener that something is wrong in your connection to your potential users

This gives us opportunities to learn more about different projects. I think this hackathon is fair.

I totally agree with you, nothing is free here

I think it is fair because it is a competition also. Everyone has to be ready to compete

Wow it’s ok if you guys can go on like that

If the community can vote then it will be about the popularity! But that’s OK

One thing that can really help new projects, jump in and interact with other communities, not just your own. Dont spam and be considerate, but talk with the other devs. Talk with the people you hope to attract. Do twitter spaces and invite established projects to speak. Sponsor a couple of giveaways. Nothing spreads across twitter like the prospect of free stuff.

It’s a fair game out there unless there’s a proven bias. I believe even the old projects that are promising deserve more funding and resources to make their visions come true. Newcomers for sure have it tougher but if the idea is compelling enough, it will show in the long run and people will naturally gravitate towards the project and support what they are trying to achieve.

True, this is the beginning of something great. Will be nice if the ecosystem will also help each other to help the projects

It’s a fair contest and I love it

It’s fair and open to all, new and old projects alike, it’s a fair system imo. However, there is no justice at all. Old projects are always gonna outshine new ones, thats to be expected

I think there should be other programs to support the old projects instead
