How is the Encrypt patient data on the blockchain working?
Has your team background in the medical field?
Good morning, successful project. I hope you get to good places in advance.
We have a personal question, if you would like to answer it. In which parts of the project did being a mechatronics engineer provide you with an advantage or did it maybe?
Would be very happy if you share it.
The encryption of patient data on the blockchain in the Medical Management platform will work as follows:
- Data Entry: When a patient’s medical record is created or updated, the data is first entered into the Medical Management platform.
- Encryption: Before this data is stored on the TRON blockchain, the Medical Management platform encrypts it. Encryption involves converting the patient’s medical information into a format that is unreadable without the appropriate decryption key. This ensures that the data remains secure and private.
- Storage on TRON Blockchain: The encrypted data is then stored on the TRON blockchain. This step ensures the immutability and transparency of the medical records. However, since the data is encrypted, it is not legible by anyone who accesses the blockchain.
- Access Control: Only authorized individuals, typically the patient or their healthcare providers, have access to the decryption key. This key is necessary to decipher and read the patient’s medical data.
- Decryption: When access to the medical record is required, the authorized user uses the decryption key to unlock and decrypt the data, making it readable.
This process ensures that patient data remains confidential and secure on the blockchain and can only be accessed by those with the appropriate permissions and decryption key. Additionally, it benefits the user by allowing them to take their medical history anywhere in the world and continue with their treatment, something that does not currently happen so easily. It provides an innovative solution for the portability of medical records and enhances global healthcare.

Would you like to learn more about the advantages of our Medical Management solution in the medical field?
One of the most exciting features we offer is ‘Global Access to Medical History.’ Imagine the freedom of carrying your medical history with you when you travel to another country and require medical care.
With Medical Management, it’s possible to share your medical history with a new doctor anywhere in the world, making healthcare more accessible in emergency situations or even when you’re simply exploring new places. We’re here to answer your questions and continue exploring how our solution can enhance the way we manage healthcare globally. What would you like to know?
Nice one, I would like to know how one can carry this history. They will need your platform at the other end to be able to access that history or
There is also the question of possible hack that would lead to some massive medical files leaks. I know usually hospital local networks are not the safest but seeing all the crypto hacks happening that would be a concern so I hope the security is top notch for that kind of sensitive data’s.
Thank you for raising a valid concern about the security of medical data. We fully understand the importance of protecting sensitive information, and I want to assure you that we take security very seriously at Medical Management.
To address the issue of potential cyberattacks and data breaches, we have implemented robust security measures, including state-of-the-art encryption protocols and constant monitoring of our systems. Furthermore, we are taking additional steps to ensure data protection. One of these measures involves encrypting the information in Medical Management and storing it on the TRON blockchain. This not only provides an additional layer of security but also creates independent systems that make unauthorized access or data theft even more challenging.
These independent systems function as decentralized records, which means that information is stored in multiple secure locations and is validated through a network of nodes. Each time medical data is updated or accessed, we will require validation on the TRON blockchain, adding an extra layer of protection. Even in the unlikely event that a part of our system is compromised, medical data would still be safeguarded in other secure locations, thanks to this architecture of independent systems.
Our commitment to data protection adheres to the highest industry standards, and we follow rigorous security practices to prevent unauthorized access to medical records.
We also conduct regular security audits and collaborate with cybersecurity experts to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in our systems. You can rest assured that we are dedicated to maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of our users’ medical data.
Your concerns are valid, and we appreciate your diligence in questioning the security of our platform. If you have further questions or would like more details about our security practices, please do not hesitate to ask. We are here to address your concerns and ensure the security of our users’ data.
Thank you for the explanation. Question: who decided which persons are authorized?
Thank you for your question. The authorization of individuals is managed by an access control system that is part of the Medical Management platform. In this system, authorized individuals are determined and designated by the patient themselves. This means that the patient (who is the owner of their medical history) has control over who can access their medical data and/or a particular medical condition, and typically, healthcare providers designated by the patient also have access.
The platform employs security measures and authentication to ensure that only authorized individuals have access to the decryption key required to read the data. This helps to ensure the privacy and security of the patient’s information.

Thank you for being part of this community in the TRON Hackathon.
It’s really nice reading through your update, I wanted to be a doctor so bad as a kid but I ended up an IELTS tutor cause I had to fund my education myself and being a physician was overly expensive.
Now back to the main topic, doctors have a nondisclosure type thing/oat, so how is user consent managed in terms of sharing their medical history with different doctors and institutions?
And again, how does the platform handle potential interoperability challenges across different healthcare systems worldwide?
We appreciate your questions and your interest in our platform .
It’s interesting to learn about your personal journey and how you found your path in education.
PD: We are in the early stages of this exciting project and are committed to addressing any challenges that may arise as we progress.
We understand the importance of user privacy and consent in the management of medical records, and we are actively working to implement robust measures to ensure it. While we are still refining our approach, we have established a digital confidentiality agreement that is crucial to ensuring the protection of medical information.
This confidentiality agreement is an integral part of our platform and is expected to be accepted by all doctors who access patient data. It clearly outlines the obligations and responsibilities of the doctor regarding the protection of patient privacy and confidentiality of information. This way, doctors are legally committed not to disclose or share medical information with third parties without the explicit consent of the patient or without being legally authorized to do so.
This approach is important to maintain trust and patient privacy in our platform. We are developing a system to facilitate the acceptance and tracking of this agreement by doctors, ensuring that the highest standards of privacy and security are met.
Regarding interoperability, we recognize it as a significant challenge in the healthcare field. To address this issue, we are enabling the integration of our platform with other healthcare systems through Web Services and APIs (Application Programming Interfaces). These technical components allow efficient communication between different systems and applications while maintaining the highest standards of data privacy and confidentiality.
Our commitment is to continue improving and adapting our platform to meet the changing needs of doctors and patients. We appreciate your feedback and suggestions as we progress in this exciting initiative.
If you have more questions or need more information about how our confidentiality agreements and security measures work, please feel free to ask. We are here to collaborate in the evolution of digital healthcare.
Thanks you for taking out the time to give detailed explanation on your confidentiality agreement, builds more trust in me towards your system. In Nigeria, we’ve high mortality rate and high medical vacation practices stemming from high risk cases like terminal diseases, this have had alot of people opting for insurances like the Nigeria Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS). Now my question is, how do you flex/adjust your model to tally with medical insurances?
Just curious how this will work cause I’ve frens like @Nana66419 that may likely want to visit someday, thank you!
Greetings @JavierGarza ! Your project seems to have all the details. Thanks! *beep boop
