In Medical Management, patient privacy is prioritized. All medical records are securely stored and encrypted, and access to them is only granted with the patient’s consent. Furthermore, we rigorously adhere to all data protection regulations to ensure the security and confidentiality of medical information.
Nice illustration, privacy is really key across all sectors, kudos!
Thats very good. This raises a question that i will be happy if my doubts are cleared.
If medical records are only decrypted after a patient’s permission, then what happens when a patient dies. Are there any other means we can have access to his/her medical records. To see what he/she was really going through.
I had a blind teacher who wasnt really blind at birth, but he became blind due to some medications he was given at the hospital. All attempts to retrieve his files to identify the medicine that was given to him to end him in that state was not successful.
It was as if he was dead.
We greatly appreciate your question and recognize the importance of ensuring access to medical records in exceptional situations, such as the one you mentioned. We consider it crucial to explore technical alternatives to achieve this goal.
One of the solutions we are considering is the implementation of a ‘digital will’ system, which would allow patients to specify their preferences regarding access to their medical records after their passing. Additionally, we are exploring the possibility of shared key cryptography to ensure secure and controlled access in line with the patient’s preferences.
We empathize with your teacher’s situation and are committed to continually improving our system to ensure ethical and secure management of medical records.
Thank you for your question and your participation in the TRON Hackathon. We continue to work on innovative technical solutions to address this challenge
Hi @JavierGarza
Would you mind providing some info on the technical implementation of the consent mechanism within the platform, especially in relation to sharing medical history?
I was curious how this mechanism is tracked and managed from a technical standpoint within the platform.
Hello! We greatly appreciate your interest in the technical aspects of our Medical Management platform and how we handle medical records on the TRON blockchain.
Our technical process involves the following:
Medical History Registration: When a user (patient) or the treating physician completes the registration of a medical history on the platform, this data is collected and encrypted using robust encryption technology. This ensures that the data is unreadable to anyone unauthorized, even if stored on the blockchain.
Storage on the TRON Blockchain: The encrypted data is recorded on the TRON blockchain, which serves as an immutable and secure ledger. Each transaction is recorded as a block on the chain, and blockchain technology ensures the integrity and immutability of the data.
Access Control: The decryption of data is performed under the control of the owner of the medical report (user/patient) or an authorized family member, who may be designated in a digital will. These users have the ability to grant permissions to third parties, such as doctors or healthcare professionals, to access the information. This process is carried out securely and under control directly from our platform, ensuring the privacy and security of medical data in all cases.
Medical Confidentiality: Furthermore, once the physician adds information to the medical history, they are asked to form a confidentiality agreement. This agreement is an integral part of our platform and is expected to be accepted by all physicians accessing patient data. It clearly outlines the obligations and responsibilities of the physician regarding patient privacy protection and information confidentiality. In this way, physicians commit legally not to disclose or share medical information with third parties without the explicit consent of the patient or without being legally authorized to do so.
Continuous Security: We maintain high standards of security and encryption to protect the data at all times. We regularly update and audit our systems to ensure the integrity and security of medical data.
If you have more specific questions about the technical implementation or any other details, please feel free to ask. We are here to provide you with the information you need.
Thank you for your interest in Medical Management!
