My hackathon worry and observation

I want to understand something something I have been seeing in the forum, the project have plenty time to arrange themselves and put out really good work but why is now most of the submissions come in half half, is there a rush or a penalty if you don’t submit on time?
I also think to submit a half entry is not a good thing at all

No need to panic.
Those project will come filled full details.
Reasons could be, they still building their project.
They will have to past their project here.
So that they don’t missed out before the dateline

It’s not entirely a half baked project submission, I sincerely believe they’re trying to beat the timeframe for project entry in the forum hence the barrage of incomplete submissions. If you keep an eye out, in the usual fashion of the Hackathon, you’d notice project gradually updating their initial entries.

You’re right, incomplete submissions aren’t ideal.
There could be a few reasons why you’re seeing this in the forum which are
(1)Time Management Issues Understanding workload and Unforeseen challenges.

  • Underestimated workload: Maybe the project seemed less time-consuming initially, leading to procrastination and last-minute scrambling.

  • Unforeseen challenges: Unexpected events or difficulties during the project could have eaten into completion time.

Its encouraged to get Hackathon TRONDAO forum approval so it is not all last minute and then updating your project post throughout development. However, a lot of projects do this last minute and then are panicking.

The most important things are your posts and if you don’t update them then how can judges judge you.

Of course projects should already be posting their “goals and Ideas” as this is the base of your project and not just be joining just cause.

Projects need to be on testnets by the end of the submission period.

This has been the case,…this also applies in real life, there must be individual differences not how you tend to do things is the way others do, some are ready prepared before hand while some are not well informed, while some came to showcase their presence,…it still goes like this,…many are called but few are chosen

already answered.
They will update them, those who failed to update will not make it in the selection stage

No worries. It is good practice to post your submission at the very start of the hackaTRON. Even starting with just the title of your project is okay as long as you actively update it to full completion by the end of the submission period. Any incomplete submissions will be disqualified.
