Project submission… Grace periods end Today

The forum submissions opened on Feb 1:

Q. How long will it take for the forum approval to post in the Hackathon 2022 Season 4 category?
It will typically take less than 24 hours for the approval to take place. If you are still not able to create your project post after 24 hours, please send a private message to admin.hackathon and provide your DoraHacks username again. However, during the end of the submission period, the pending queue may be longer if the number of participants that have yet to submit to the forum is large. It will be the participant’s responsibility if they could not be approved to post their project in time as there’s a 2.5-month period for participants to take action.

Blaming the admins if the projects failed to meet the deadline, with over 2 months of time, is not acceptable, IMHO.

Devs had enough time to submit, admins delayed a bit but haven’t left anyone behind and I think the delay was as a result of the failure of the automated system they were trying to use. What they planned was to receive a link in your mail as soon as your project is approved on Dorahacks but even with this manual process , they have done well @admin.hackathon @WindsOfChange92 @StevenTRON @HunterTRON and others kudos

The procedures were laid down, but what happened to it implementation, was it implemented as it was stipulated…

We cant rule them out as if they are not part of the problem. They themselves confirmed the problem was due to the automation as @Prince-Onscolo is saying.

So putting the blame entirely on the project owners in my own personal opinion is far from what actually transpired.

another thing is that, people are not publishing their projects here because of the requirement of this year’s hackaTRON. Some applied on Dorahacks because they thought they could meet the deadline and now realising they may not. They need to have a working product on testnet before a certain period and to receive rewards it should be on mainnet so i think that’s a factor and a good one too. We need to have a working product at the end of each hackatron.

@JustMoney waited and I think they were putting things in place before they submit it.
@fabsltsa keeps saying they will surely but not in a rush

they went back to the manual process and approved all pending requests.
I may agree with you where the participants did not know where to get approvals from…
So if admins did not communicate with them then some might still be there waiting to get an approval mail (I do not know how that part works)

The milestons helped to keep away some money hunters for sure (we still have winners from S2 that did not deliver a product).
Let’s also remember that by tomorrow only a MVP needs to be provided (testnet or mainnet), not a finalized product. For that there is time until the end of May.

Exactly most people were waiting for feedback from the Admin as to how to get access to the forum, it took days for a response to be given.
One person in particular @bubblegoose even said he was going to create a telegram channel if he was not going to get the access to post here.

So ruling out admins from this will not be a fair thing to do IMHO

yeah I love that part. And I think is part of the reasons many have not yet submit their project here.
All good…If after each season we get 50 working projects on tron and/or bttc the ecosystem will grow

quick mail needs to be sent to all applicant, that may help. If they haven’t
@StevenTRON @WindsOfChange92 @admin.hackathon

Projects that submitted this season will surely stand a better chance of winning something. The boys have truly been separated from the men.

I’m not saying everything was perfect on the approval process. What I’m saying is that the rules are clear and we cannot afford to have exceptions if someone did not register in time. The deadline must be held firm.

sure great submissions so far, tight competition :fire: :fire:

oh yeah for the deadline they shouldn’t change it and any team member who is active here will know what to do after getting approval from Dorahacks

The deadline will be held firm on Dorahacks. All projects will then get a 3-day grace period to post on the forum. All projects signed up on Dorahacks have been getting weekly reminders to post on the TRON DAO forum as it is required. They will get one last one after the deadline explaining the 3-day grace period to post on the forum.

If you see anyone who needs it then tag an admin. They should be commenting below S4 hackathon post for permission and they also received emails to join. Both @StevenTRON and myself have been getting everyone in.

The fault is entirely upon the projects and I am not here to babysit, those that have not read the eligibility requirements/processes before signing up.

Also, projects could have contacted us or Dorahacks at any time.

thanks for your explanation. Personally I have been tagging both and I know you always let them in. It’s good they have a grace period, let’s see how things will go.
Thanks once again. I know my bro @StevenTRON is quite busy at NFTNYC

Thank you @WindsOfChange92 For stating clearly before I forget,… kudos to you for doing a great job :handshake: more powers to your elbow
The 3 days grace is okay :ok::+1:

When you communicate it this way, everyone on the platform who is not a project owner will know what is happening behind the scenes.

But if we don’t know what is happening behind the scenes we might conclude just like I concluded the Admins are part of the problem.

Once you have made it clear like this, we can now say it categorically and emphatically clear that the project owners are the ones to be blame for their late submission.

If that is the case then what is the penalty for late submission of projects in the forum??

Thank you

Meaning the project owners might have been ready but have not been given the green light to post it here.
